You Get What You Pay For

Summary: Tried this one for 2 days. Gave a print to my marketing/graphics area; they called the quality "horrible." That was with a picture fro m an S80 taken Large&Superfine with the printer set to Fine, and Canon Pro Paper Glossy.
Returned to Staples and bought the IP6600D that I am in love with - told the graphics people next day that I had the photo printed at a lab - they told me it was "MUCH better."
Skip this one and purchase the IP6600D - you will be a lot happier. Plus it's more economical using individual tanks versus the one color cartridge.
Difference in photo print quality is VISIBLE

Summary: I received this printer free as a promotion bundled with my Canon digital camera. I've been using an inexpensive Canon Pixma ip2000, and buying off-brand ink for about $2.00 a cartridge. The printer has worked fine, and, when I need quality prints, I get them from a photo lab.
I set this printer up and immediately went online to look at cartridge prices. $35.00 for a color cartridge?!? No wonder the printer was free!
This may be a great printer (from what I've read, I doubt it), but I won't pay that kind of money for the ink.
It's back in the box and I'll donate it to a nonprofit. I'm perfectly satisfied with the iP2000.
Buyer beware.
