The Bottom Line Like the D80 before it, the Nikon D90 delivers an excellent dSLR for the money. The Nikon D5200 makes a great choice for family and vacation photographers. An excellent dSLR for experienced shooters or Nikon professionals looking for a relatively cheap option, the Nikon D7000 delivers on almost all counts, including the company's best shooting design to date. The Nikon D5300 is a great choice as a general-purpose dSLR. A solid if unexceptional entry-level dSLR, the Nikon D3200 should still please most folks looking for an upgrade from their point-and-shoots.
