The Bottom Line With a lot to like and just a little to dislike, the Sony Alpha NEX-7 comes up a winner, albeit an expensive one. The Sony Alpha NEX-6 delivers an as-yet-unbeatable package of image quality, performance, and design, even for its rather high price. The Nikon D5200 makes a great choice for family and vacation photographers. One of the fastest, most feature-laden cameras you can buy for less than $1,500, you really need to spend some quality time going through all the settings before using the Olympus OM-D E-M1. An excellent dSLR for experienced shooters or Nikon professionals looking for a relatively cheap option, the Nikon D7000 delivers on almost all counts, including the company's best shooting design to date.
