  JUNK!!! Read the problems. All Real. Not a mature product!!

  If I did my research before I bought this product, I would have known to stay away!!
  I was using this as my HTPC keyboard, which was connected to an Ubuntu (Thats Linux for those who don't know) computer. Sitting 13 feet away (yes, I measured), the keyboard would CONSTANTLY cut out. I had to constantly retype IM conversations and whatnot, because only every 4th letter would be broadcast.
  Oh, and I bought stock in Duracell because this thing eats batteries like my fat cousin eats turkey. I have had it for 4 months and experienced the problems on the second week. This thing finally died and I bought a Logitech Dinovo as its replacement, which will be here in time to witness the execution of this terrible device...
  
  Don't be cheap! spend an extra $40, and get a keyboard from a reliable source! I am so appalled by this thing, that I actually took the time to sign up to CNet to warn other people about this huge waste of money!

  Few fixes, it might be a perfect keyboard.

  Summary: I have a Gateway tower connected to my plasma TV and this Adesso keyboard is the exact keyboard that I was lookin for: A lightweight wireless, compact keyboard without IR so that I can surf the Net, play games and basically everything else I've been doing on my laptops (anyone that owns a laptop is by now a touchpad pro).
  
  Now the bad news:
  1. Tap feature on the touchpad CANNOT BE DISABLED! IF ANYBODY KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS ON THIS KEYBOARD, PLEASE LET EVERYONE KNOW! I've tried to cheat and downloaded a touchpad driver from Synaptics to disable the tap feature (I've done this in the past, and have gotten away with it for some of my laptops), but it didn't work.
  2. Range is not 100 ft. Typo error is common and the mouse stutters from time to time at 10 ft. away. If spelling is wrong anywhere here, now you know.
  3. FN key in the bottom-left corner is just like one of my Gateway laptop so it doesn't bother me, but I'd rather the ctrl key there instead.
  4. When the keyboard goes in the stand-by mode, I press the esc key and then move the mouse and it wakes right up, although the on-off buttons would be nice.
  5. Mouse buttons are slim and takes a little force to press. Not a biggie for the first few presses, but gets to be a pain when playing games such as "Ghost Recon".
  
  There might be more flaws, but I just got this keyboard yesterday.
  
  Botton line in my opinion:
  "OK" for my TV setup, but I would never use this keyboard for anything else. Especially at this price.

  Summary: I'm writing this opinion sitting in my familyroom using the Slimtouch Wireless keyboard with a laptop connected to my 50" Samsung. Very cool.
  
  A couple weeks ago I was behind my set and realized it has an input for a PC connection. Never really noticed before. So that got me thinking how I could take advantage of this. I didn't want to buy a new PC just for this and didn't want a bulky PC next to my TV either. Then it struck me. I had an old laptop with a busted LCD. Would it even still work? Fired her up and sure enough it did. So I hooked it to the input on the TV and hit the input select button on the TV remote and bingo, Windows running larger than life on a 50" "monitor". So next was to plug in an extra wireless network card I had laying around. Now I was on-line in my family room! But the key would be able to surf from my lazy-boy.
  
  Enter the Adesso Slimtouch wireless keyboard. I did quite a bit of research and this seemed to be the best. So far so good! It's working great. Simply plugged in the tinny USB receiver and instantly XP recognized it and configured it. Popped in the 4 AA batteries (included) and I was in business. Couldn't have been easier.
  
  The keyboard is really small and slick looking. Just what I wanted for the family room. The keys are quiet and the kind that you would find on most laptops. Not regular desktop keyboards. Same goes for the touchpad. Just like a laptop. I've used laptops for years so this was very comfortable for me. If you are not familiar with laptops then you may find it a bit awkward at first. You will get used to it.
  
  I have encountered a few problems. After not using the keyboard for a little while it turns itself off. There is no on/off switch. Pressing a key wakes it back up but can take up to 10 seconds. The other problem is lost keystrokes. You have to be paying attention to what you type as sometimes it skips keystrokes. In this writing up to now I've lost maybe two or three. Not bad considering what you get. And the other problem is with my phone. It also operates under 2.4GHz and causes the keyboard to malfunction when the phone is being used nearby. Again, a pretty small price to pay. Maybe I should upgrade my phone by now anyway!
  
  So all-in-all, I would recommend this keyboard for a similar setup to mine. Other than TV use, I'm not sure it would be as liked. There are many other wireless keyboard to meet those needs.

  Summary: I don't know who the genius was who decided to get this for the computers in my company's conference rooms, but it's been trouble since day one. Users are continually vexed by this keyboard as it often gets into strange modes where the keys don't work as they should or what should be simple scrolling sends the application haywire. When half the meeting is spent trying to get the keyboard working, that's a sign. Avoid!

  Summary: I have a window media center PC hooked up to my television and was looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse so I can surf from my couch. After trying the windows media center wirelss keyboard (couldn't stand the mouse), I did some research and found this was the only touchpad capable wireless keyboard around.
  
  The keyboard took 30 seconds to install and the touchpad works great. The keys are full size but the keyboard itself is fairly small (which has its pluses and minuses)

  Summary: We have one of these in our companies conference room. Such an improvement over our old IR wireless keyboard/mouse. Range is no longer an issue. The keys have a nice feel and the mouse pad has a slick up/down slider.
  
  Overall, a fantastic product. If you have a media PC connected to a TV, this is the keyboard to have!
