Intro:
The HP Compaq Presario F750US is a 5.7-pound, thin-and-light notebook computer.Compared to other thin-and-light notebooks on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $635.Has Wi-Fi (wireless connectivity) built-in.
Noteworthy Features:
Comes with Microsoft Windows Vista Home premium and Microsoft Windows Vista OS, which is somewhat more favorable than some similarly priced notebooks.By way of comparison, the average cost of a product with a comparable set of OS is $1,390.
Weaker Features:
Only has a turion 64 X2 mobile technology processor. This is not out of line with the product's price, but is less efficient than the average notebook on the market today.
Suitability:
Suited for those who want a balance between power and portability.Store massive amounts of data on DVD using the DVD writer included in this notebook.Comes with advanced word processing software -- capable of producing all the complex documents you may need to publish. Also, this laptop comes packaged with photo editing software to help you select, crop, and print the photographs from your digital camera. If you have a wireless network at home, wirelessly browse the Web from any room in your house with this Wi-Fi enabled notebook.
Value:
In view of its very inexpensive price, this notebook has great features for the money.Generally, not targeted at the gaming crowd, this computer will likely fulfill more modest notebook needs.
Suggestions:
(1) Given this device's Wi-Fi capability, you may want to get a wireless access point for your home, so that you can browse the Web more conveniently from any room.(2) For help in deciding if this is the right notebook for you, see CNET's buying guide for notebooks.

this is a great laptop for someone who is traveling and needs a good machine for it.the wireless is flawless, and connects at a super high speed, even when I was over from the access point.the screen is great I watch DVD movies on it constantly.the speakers work well though i do think headphones are a better choice.the DVD/CD burner works flawlessly and fast.i had a piece of software that did not install when I first set the machine up.I called HP/COMPAQ support and they helped me with re-installing it waited with me through the setup, and were extremely patient, helpful and professional.I paid $499.00 for this laptop, and I am getting another for my wife, she thinks it is great.the Processor is fine, and as long as you do not try to play really hardcore games,it will do anything you need and more.windows Vista runs fine with 1 gig of ram, though I would add another gig just to be sure.I am very pleased with this little powerhouse and after all the research i did, I think this is the best choice for someone who needs a great ,solid notebook for travel, school or home.

I initially liked this product, until my CPU/Heat Sink fan failed after several HOURS of use. Then began the nightmare of HP support, who denied, diverted blame (toward Microsoft) and then misdiagnosed the problem, before damaging it further in repair. HP business laptops (in the $1,000 range) might be OK, but the cheap personal ones are unreliable. There's a reason they're cheap. And HP doesn't want to support these units. Stay AWAY!

This is a great laptop. Vista runs great on it and is far better than XP. It starts up fast, opens things fast, and has pretty quick wireless. Speaker sound is great! Very sharp looking laptop, blue power light, charge light and signal lights on the front. Battery is decent as well. Of course, the best thing of all, is the price! This laptop runs as well and fast as any $1000 laptop. I would recommend to anyone!

Bought this from frys for $530 with a $30 rebate for a 10 yr old boy. Cheap enough that it can suffer and I won't flip out, but a good up to date machine that won't have him following me around with issues if I had given him an old laptop and all the issues those usually have. It is a heck of a deal for the price, and it has 1g ram, 160g hd, nice screen, and a cool looking case. Oh, and a dvd writer.
