Summary: After cleaning the hard drive of over 4 gigs of pre-loaded bloat, I discovered that this really is a unbeatable deal for the money. This isn't a desktop replacement by any standard, but the money couldn't have been better spent. Screen clarity and brightness is excellent, case seems sturdy, performance is on par with 1,000 machines, I would recommend upgrading to the maximum allotted 3GB of memory. I was able to play my Flight Sim X with high resolution. If you watch occasional movies, do intensive web browsing/multi-tasking, this laptop will not disappoint.

Summary: Pros speed, performance, brite screen, loaded w/programs 250 hd 2gigs ram the best500.00 off ebay new and sealed, and yes posters hp has the extended battery, same one used on the hp v5000 series costs 149.00 on hp site. Highly recommend this model, sleek and powereful and for the price thumbs up, release date was may 2008, comes with no restore recovery dvd discs but you can order them from hp for 16.99 for two discs, or just call the tech support dept. and tell them you formatted your drive and no longer have the recovery image, cause you formatted and they will even ship them for free.

Summary: I think for $499 this computer was quite a bargain. The included WiFi coneects quickly and easily. I like the 15.4" screen, but it gives off quite a glare under any lighting situation - it's like looking into a mirror. Overall I find it very versatile and very quick in it's offerings. The touchpad is a jumpy, so I use a mouse instead.

Summary: For five hundred bucks, you can,t find a finer machine! This thing rocks! It runs all of my programs and burns DVD's in multiple processes without a hitch. The only problems I,ve had are the usual Windows Vista problems that are no fault of the machine. Norton System Works runs in the background and doesn't seem to slow down other processes; (which was my biggest complaint with my old computer). If you're not a hard core gamer, I highly recommend this PC for you!

Summary: At $500 it was a great deal, but there a few things that aren't great with the system. the battery gets hot quickly (usually within 20minutes of use), the AC adapter is unusually hot as well. The placement of a USB between the powercord and optical drive seems a bad choice - my cruzer flash drive gets caught in the pathway of the dvd-rom open position. My previous compaq had JBLpro speakers which seemed a lot more robust than the altec lansing speakers.

Summary: Price was certainly right ,I was looking for something ranged between 400 to 500 $. And I like the price first but I didn?t like the AMD because I had some good and painful experienced with an amd processor. I was dead set for core 2 duo or at least pentium R and I found couple but none of them came close to compaq f6fnr in other specifications. 250gb , multi dvd burner with light scribe, nvidia graphic chip instead of intel and of course window vista home premium instead of basic. I forgot one more thing , that 2 full GB of ram instead of just one like other on discount. I was gonna take toshiba intel pentium R 2 core with 80 GB with 1 GB of ram and vista home. but when I saw this one I close my eye shut about AMD and took it home.
Processor seem to be a bit slow at first but after disabling usual vista crabs like search indexing and UAC control and other mambo jumbo. It fly really well, Only downside it?s that no bluetooth build in but I am really getting greedy for a mare 500 buck. When I brought mine in bestbuy, they only got two left and told me that they don?t have it in stock anymore. Great deal if you ask me.

Summary: This is my first laptop. Can't find an extended-life battery (I even called HP and was told by the representative that one is not available... they don't make one for this model!)I may not have purchased this model had I known.
Great bargain otherwise... works well. I don't care much for Vista.
Anyone find an extended-life battery for this model (F767NR)- please e-mail me. johnnyostrom@comcast.net
