First laptop owner

Pros: I wanted a mid range laptop that stands out when it is whipped out of the case.This se looks cool in starbucks cafe or airport lounge.

Cons: the se features are not finished off.

Summary: I spent some time looking at the budget Lenovo y510 before I bought this one.
The price is around 400 US more.

Summary: I spent some time looking at the budget Lenovo y510 before I bought this one.
The price is around 400 US more.
The specs for the price are great, blue ray included.
I got mine from TigerDirect who seem to have pulled it since I purchased and had it sent to the Philippines.
My price was 950 US.
What does it do for me.
Simple answer, everything and more than my HP desktop does.
Great wireless, goes through solid concrete walls in my house in touch with my connection.
It also looks smart, though the white cover some may find a little Girly.
I for think it sends the signal, hey I am a clean guy just out of the shower with this underarm.
The se features are spoilt by views of the the side ports.
HP failed here, most likely to reduce the weight and production costs on this mid range laptop.
They should have added remoavble covers.
The elavated battery that I got was a shock also.
I I had ben smart enough, this point may have changed my reason for buying this SE.
So, how does it perform.
For the price and what you get, it is a fantastic machine.
It of course is heavy with the batt, but that is a get around also.
For the price the specs are good, remember blue ray,yet to try, honest.
The ease of load up were just as good as you would expect from HP.
Not sure I wanted vista, but lots of memory on this latop.
At the end of the day I will offload this to one off my kids in School next year as it is robust.
It is a first for me and I will look harder next time.
Do not be fooled by the special edition.
White keyboard and a white front but it is a good looking one until the next month.
The operation is fast, no doubt about that.
If you are on the move, then it is ideal.
I still need more time with this one, but HP seem slow to produce a market se that stands out in my opinion.
