Linksys added two new Draft N routers to its Ultra RangePlus line that couldn't look more different from the company's tried-and-true design. The WRT160N and the WRT310N ditch the outdated Linksys blue facing and introduce curves to case, while also doing away with those pesky antennas (these MIMO routers use internal antennas). They boast a sleek look and are priced right. The WRT160N costs $100, while the WRT310N adds Gigabit Ethernet for a reasonable $130. The two routers will also begin shipping with an updated version of the Linksys EasyLink Advisor (LELA) configuration software, which helps end users set up and manage their network, later this quarter.

Bought this to replace my outdated Linksys (new Vista laptop) and was blown away. This thing practically set itself up. It replaced the wired router and wireless routers I was using, as the signal strength is awesome. I'm still pulling over 5meg (which is what I get hard-wired) from 70 feet away, through 6 walls, a kitchen, and countless wires and electrical interference. Again, best router for the money. Don't get cheap ignore this router. It's so worth it.

I purchased this Linskys WRT160N Wireless-N Ultra RangePlus Broadband Router on Sunday, 5 days ago and i am very impressed. It is very easy set-up and the range and speed blow my old Linksys Wireless G out of the water. Even on the computers that dont have an N Card yet there is a big difference in speed and connection strength. In areas of my home where the signal strength was poor before, the strength now is always excellent. I highly recommend this router.

I bought this to replace a wrt54g. It was significantly slower than the wrt54g for wireless use and gave a worse signal around the house when compared to the wrt54g. Worked fine on the wired ports, very slow wo unusable on the wireless side.
Slightly improved software feature set over the wrt54g.
For us this device was a complete waste of money and we've had to go back to using the wrt54g twice now.
The device runs extremely hot and perhaps this one has a problem. Don't know if it's really worth the effort (in hours) to try and convince Linksys or BestBuy to replace it.

Don't make the mistake of buying this router because of its looks, or the fact that every store has about 1,000 boxes on display. It's unreliable and has many wireless issues when connecting to an xbox 360. Also, about once a week, the connection would drop, and I'd be required to do a reset. There are definitely better options out there.

I was nervous about going wireless, not having any experience previously with the subject. But, with the new laptop and Wii in the house, it was time. Anyways, decided to go with a N router, as the laptop was N capable, and Best Buy had this little baby on sale. Saw good reviews on it here, so I decided to give it a shot. Here's the play by play:
Bought router Unpacked router Inserted CDROM into desktop Followed easy directions (text and pictures) Five minutes later, had a WPA-2 protected network between my desktop, laptop and Wii.
It truely was that simple. I've got blazing fast wireless connection to the laptop now, which is awesome, and having the Wii wireless is sweet too. I've only had it for a couple days, but all indicators show it to be a great router!

Very buggy software in my opinion. WiFi drops and performance is slow, lots of packet loss. Even with the recommended WPC300N wireless NIC. I hope it will be fixed soon, otherwise I'll return the box.

Unless you have a computer with a wireless N adapter, don't buy this linksys just update your old router with the latest firmware. I actually was getting alot faster internet speeds with my old WRT54G Linksys router once I figured out how to update the firmware.

It has great Range, great signal, fast and easy ...
The Linksys WRT160N superseeds our expectations for our first Wireless Router.
It has great Range, great signal, fast and easy to setup for us.
Only thing thats keeping me from rating it a 10 is because we had a defective unit after using it for 3 hours [thats right, 3 hours], returned it and our new one hasn't been defective and has been performing great.
