  The dpi settings on the mouse is really nice. It's the best method for on the fly.
  
  Scroll wheel kills my finger. I use mouse3 for ventrilo talking. Because I kind of press mouse3 pretty firmly, this mouse kills my finger. The reason being is because the scroll wheel is thinner than most mice that I've seen. Also, the added left and right feature is useless. The wheel is tilted to the right a bit, so a lot of times I would accidentally move it to the right instead of pressing it down.
  
  Weight system is very unique. It makes a difference, but I don't think that the range of weights make enough difference to get the mouse just for that.
  
  The 2000dpi isn't noticeable from 1800 dpi, so I don't think that it should be bought just for that either.
  
  Other than that, I am not entirely sure if the mouse is worth more than $45.

  The only thing missing from the older G5

  Summary: The only thing missing and imperfect about the older G5 was the lack of the extra thumb button, which it now has. I do not think the button is too small and I never accidently hit the small button or big button because of their size. It just might be the ultimate mouse now. The only thing wrong with logitech is the tendency for the buttons to wear out, due to cheap components, but they have exceptional warranty.

  worth every penny, awesome, sometimes mouse messes up

  Summary: I bought this mouse at Best Buy for 60 bucks, thought it would work good and my other mouse broke. I used to play css(counter-strike source) with a normal mouse that worked fine, then I bent the end and decided to buy a new one. I plunged it in and started using it and it was great!!! my css playing was a lot better and the mouse was a lot more comfortable. after I installed the software the mouse started moving to fast or to slow, it can be fixed by pressing the + or - dpi arrows, but i didn't press them to change it in the first place!! it is a minor flaw, and the price may be to high for this price range, but I highly recommended it, especially for css players or computer gamers.
  this mouse is a gaming mouse and if you are looking at this for some other usage you can probably go cheaper

  Very nice upgrade over my previous Logitech MX510

  Summary: My previous MX510 mouse was great but the wheel finally started to fail, I was ready to buy another MX510 but then saw this newer revised G5 on sale and ended up getting it instead, Im glad I did because its basically the same design as the MX510 but with more features and improvements such as an adjustable weight tray, on the fly DPI adjustments, smoother movement thanks to higher sampling rates, better grip due to it's rough surface texture and a bigger wheel which is easier to use.
  
  Overall Im very impressed with the G5 and dont have any complaints other than its dull blue / cracked look.

Also, don't be fooled by the whole "resolution battle" that the mouse manufacturers seem to be having right now. I'm a pretty hard-core gamer and I don't even turn this thing up to close to it's maximum resolution. You'd have to have the reflexes of a fly to be able to use it like that...

  Summary: this is a good gaming mouse but i cant program the buttons to hotkeys in a game. However you can program the scroll wheel but if you push it half the time it moves the scroll wheel and in my FPS,s that changes the weapon (very annoying). Also the scroll wheel now skeaks (also annoying). In spite of these things it feels good in your hands and responds exelently so for all the hype of this i was rather disapponted with this but, but it works well for most neeeds.

  Summary: This mouse is fast, great for gaming and every thing else. I love how you can switch the DPI on the fly, not responsive enough just push a button on the mouse and it up's it. I also like how you can see what DPI it is at just by looking at the mouse. I love the texture/feel of the sides of the mouse but not the top but it looks cool I guess. At first I didn't think I would ever care what the weight of my mouse was but now that I have had it a while I found a weight that I just love and would change it for the world. The USB cable dose get in the way from time to time but it's a small price to pay for no lag and all the good points that this mouse dose have. So if your sick of your old mouse or it broke go and pick this one up its comfortable and works great.

  Best mouse I've ever used!

  Pros: Great feel, good button positioning, weights and case for weights are superb and work well to give it a personal weight, DPI change works good and is nice to have on the fly.

  Cons: It is on the more spendy side, but even so it is worth it!

This is a very sharp looking mouse as well which catches the eye but not to the point of it being annoying. So far I haven't had any problem pushing the scroll wheel in like there have been complaints on the previous g5. Hope this helps!
