Summary: I got a pair of E2's about a year and a half ago, I never used them because of the over the ear cord. Well I got stuck in a jam and had no choice they were great. When asked what I wanted for my B'day I said a pair of E3's. These headphone are better than any earbuds I've used . I commute six day a week for an hour each way I no longer hear everyones phone conversations etc etc etc, Xmas E5. If you can afford them, get them

Hurt at the cash-register, Loved them afterwards

Summary: After desintegrating a pair of sony earphones and changing a pair of shure e2 (heavy, poor bass -even after learning how to colocate them properly, uncomfortable, too heavy for using them while jogging) decided to put the extra money to get some quality sound. I don't regret it the quality of the sound is AMAZING you will not want to take them out of your ears, I recomend using the foam earbuds.

Summary: A BIG letdown. They were more than I expected in sound. It is wonderful to listen with! But it is absolutely impossible to get them in your ears properly and have them stay that way. Any movement will disrupt the noise-cancelling sound and allow exterior noises in. They were not created for comfort or ease of use. A big letdown since I paid so much.

Summary: I bought an I-River Clix, and pulled the trigger on the E-3s the same day. I used them with the sleeves that came in the package, and had mixed feelings. The highs and midrange were awesome, but the lows were so-so. So I sat down with the included extra sleeves, and took the advice of another reviewer. Switched to the foam sleeves, and all of sudden I felt like I "was in the club". The sound instantly got richer, warmer, tougher. Rock, rap, techno....nice. I'm loving them...now.

Shure Sound Isolating Earphones can be used with a variety of foam, flex, or triple flange accessory sleeves to get a personal fit tailored to your ears. The universal 3.5mm (1/8 in.) plug connects to Shure's PSM body pack receivers, as well as many other personal audio applications where high fidelity is deemed appropriate. Shure E3 are high energy micro-speakers with extended frequency response, for studio quality sound.
