  Utter garbage, created this account just to warn others

  Pros: Was handy to purchase at Best Buy.

  Cons: Cannot get one stable channel, where rabbit ears worked fine in the analog days. Paid nearly double for the convenience of purchasing it local.

  Summary: Feel ripped off; been playing with this thing for two days, even broke out a compass to line it up. No dice, it's going back tomorrow. Really whizzed because I've been fighting cancer, am pretty much bankrupt at this point, but wanted the family to see the Olympics where a friend is competing. Just can't seem to win these days; even these little things just really add to it all.

  Not any better than old rabbit ears with UHF loop

  Pros: Nice appearance and convenient size. Useful cable pass-through.

  Cons: Didn't pick-up any more channels than the four we got with some old rabbit ears with a UHF loop connected. No ABC, CBS or NBC.

  Summary: This antenna was the only one available at Best Buy so we thought we would try it so as not to have to return a mail-ordered one if it didn't work in this area. It was hooked up to a new digital tv in our kitchen - a ViewSonic N2230w-2M with HDTV which can also work as a monitor (that we like!) but there were no improvements, no additional channels than the ones received with a cheap set of rabbit ears with UHF loops. We had hoped a local store would know which antennas worked best around here, but no dice, it's going back! Maybe I should mention that we have aluminum siding on our house, but that wasn't a problem with an analog tv in the same position that received all the channels available locally.
