Cons: Cheap build - light weight, mount slides onto the antenna (should screw on to be secure), scratches easy. Worked a lot better for me without the amplifier for me. Overpriced.

Summary: If you are getting this product because it is the most recent of Terk FDTVx models then I am sorry to say you made the wrong choice. The FDTV1a works a little better, costs a little less and is a better build. I paid too much for this antenna at a local store thinking I would try it out and take it back, then buy it online if it performed better than the FDTV1a I already have. Well I get the thing back to my apartment and set it up in the same location. It sucks with the amplifier. When I go to take the amplifier off and test it out, the antenna fell off its base and scratched when it hit the carpet (?). The FDTV2 is the same as the FDTV1a when it comes to reception quality for me -- 3rd floor of an apartment building with windows facing towards the broadcast towers 17 mi away.
Now I do not know if I can get a full refund for the piece of crap.
Pros: 1) Great Slick Look 2) Small and Compact 3) Extremely Simple to Install 4) Hangs on a wall or Stand on its own
Cons: 1) Short fixed cable 2) Too Light, needs more weight

Summary: I live in a beautiful old apartment building built in 1920. The walls are so thick, you could not hear a soul even if they were to scream for the next ten minutes. My windows face an inner court with no sight of the sky unless you poke you head out of the window.
My Blackberry barely has a reception hence I can barely capture OTA (Over The Air) Television using an Antenna. I've tried 4 Antennas prior to this one, some amplified and others not amplified ranging from $10.00 to $49.99 (Canadian).
Today I picked up the TERK FDTV2 Antenna, although I did not pick up any new channels, the channels I had before are crystal clear, the sound perfect and I don't have to point the TERK FDTV2 Antenna in different directions to view the few channels I can get from this Anti-Techno Bunker.
I could only imagine if I lived in a house or had direct view to the south east (From my location). I'm sure I'd pick up every possible channel crystal clear.
If you're looking for a great Antenna, look no further.
I picked it up at Acces Electronique in Montreal for $24.95 on October 24, 2010.
