TurboTax Home & Business 2006 - without State price range: $75.00

The good: Intuit TurboTax Premier Investments 2006 offers improved tools for managing deductions and investments; thorough, straightforward tax interview remains strong.
The bad: TurboTax is notably more expensive than TaxCut; does not import medical expenses from other Intuit applications.
The bottom line: With its cogent, easy-to-understand interview and clean design, Intuit TurboTax 2006 remains one of the top tax-prep programs out there. However, it's pricier than H&R Block's TaxCut, which is the better bargain.

Summary: I'm not sure what the previous user's problems were, but I had no issues bringing up older tax files. TurboTax left nothing out, which is very important because I have a home-based business.
I'm sticking with TT because I've had no problems with it. Very easy to use, and I maxed all my deductions with the detailed walk-through.

Summary: Say you need to get into a Turbo Tax file from a couple years ago ..audit, loan finicial aid ..whatever.. You may have saved your data file, but without THAT YEARS original TT program, you can't do ANYTHING with it.. Maybe you've changed computers (who hasn't) Maybe you downloaded the program from Turbo Tax and it's gone... If you need to open 2003's taxes and don't have the 2003 program.. YOU'RE SCREWED.. Your new 2006 program won't do it. I can open a Word document from 1995 with no problem at all, my Turbo Tax files forget about it.. Have you ever tried to call their tech support?? good luck! Don't trust anything as important as your TAXES to TurboTax!!!
