  Pros: Cute but DANGEROUS

  Summary: My 17 month old son was given the Pirate Ship gift set with the Sea Skiff and Treasure Hunt as a Christmas gift. I usually LOVE the Little People toys. But, within 1 day of getting it, he was playing and I noticed him gagging! I was right next to him and ran over and pulled a 2 inch metal bar out of his throat! It came from the treasure chest that is included in this package! It had fallen out and the lid was off of the chest and, of course, as a 1 year old, he put it in his mouth! I contacted Fisher Price this morning and they want me to return the broken product so that they can "inspect" it! I am just afraid that they will sweep this under the rug and another child will get hurt or worse from choking or swallowing this metal bar. Thankfully I am one of the parents who supervises my child at all times while playing! However, that is not always possible in some homes and the result could have been disasterous! PLEASE, PLEASE supervise young children with the treasure chest, or better yet, don't let them get ahold of it! AND if you notice that the metal bar is not sturdy on your treasure chest, PLEASE let Fisher Price know. Maybe they will recall this product before a child is seriously injured! Thank you for your time!
