About 3 minutes to install, great connection
by on December 31, 2004
Pros: This was very easy to install. Put the CD in and was able to get on line through network in about 3 minutes. Router is on second floor. This wireless USB is in basement with lots of duct work. Connects at 54 mbps (sometimes). On line experience is on
Cons: Nothing so far.

by Brent1969 on December 9, 2005
Pros: Works with Mac, Panther 10.3.x & Tiger 10.4.x, 54Mbps 802.11g instead of the 11Mbps 802.11b internal Airport in my G4.
Cons: Have needed to unplug and replug after each boot-up of computer for Mac to see it.
Summary: This Belkin F5D7050 works on a Mac, but Belkin doesn't advertise it. See this site for information on use with the Mac and links to the drivers.

Summary: I'll definately keep this wireless USB adater in my toolkit. Don't bother with using their management utility. Instead just allow Windows to manage the wireless connection. Easy to use, does't lose the wireless signal and even works on the Mac platform. What more can you want for an inexpensive wireless USB adapter?

Summary: I was using this on a PC with Windows XP Home. It sat about 30-40 feet away from the Belkin Wireless Router that I also bought (that has been problem free.) This USB adapter was nothing but problems. It would drop connections and it required constant resetting. I would get it working with for one account on the machine, then when someone else in my family got on, it would not connect. The software constantly fought with the Widows Network Monitor for control.
I finally gave up and got a Motorolla internal wireless G NIC. I installed it and I am using it with the same router and have not had a single problem.
Don't waste your time or moeny on this thing.
