Crash Disaster

Pros: The DWA-556 has worked one day very good. Receive and send signals were 100% OK.
Cons: Compatibility problems after one day with Windows driver. Often my computer crashed, booted very slow and my RAID 1 hard disc drives status was verivying instead of normal.
Summary: Microsoft system restore could not solves this problems and I had to clear my hard disc drives and install all programs again.

Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center shows that the DWA-556 is Compatible according the manufacturer, but not Logo Compatible according the tests of Microsoft and I had to follow this list!

Slow on Wireless G connection

Pros: Installed easily. works with windows 7.
Cons: Gave me a bluescreen first time I installed it. antenna don't get very good signal. I had to pull my computer out from under my desk to get even a little signal.

Three of these died on me. o.O

Pros: Awesome signal especially with the ANT24-0230 antenna --> used for online gaming 90% of the time. Very low ping.
Cons: After 8-10 months it gets hot and fails.

"Decent for the money!"

Pros: It gave me a decent change in signal and an excellent speed upgrade from my wireless g card.
Cons: The d-link software sucks, use windows to install the drivers

Not worth the extra $$$

Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Don't see any improvement with signal
Summary: I swap my old card out for this one and I don't see any noticable improvement in signal coverage. Not worth the extra money in my opinion.
