Fails in Email Scan for Outlook Express.
by on April 10, 2004
Pros: Simple configuration with minimal experience. The Internet Security 5.0 has conflicts if you upgrade to Virus Scan 8.0 with Privacy Mgr. You Carnot send or receive email.
Cons: If Network Associates cannot resolve what seems like all retail is Beta products they will loose a great deal of business. The retail software for 2004 is FULL of Beta type conflicts. No Scheduled Scans, Email non functinal with the Internet Security 6.0

Pros: Antivirus protection is very effective when kept properly updated.
Cons: Stability has become an issue with Windows XP in a multi-user environment. Also, McAfee's incorporation of a firewall into the software is a total disaster.

No XP Multi-User Support
by on September 28, 2003
Pros: Easy to buy
Cons: Like everyone else noted above, the usefullness of McAfee in a WinXP multi-user environment is slim to none. To top it all off, McAfee themselves don't seem to acknowledge that the problem exists. Do yourself a favor and buy a product that will work unlik
