Features are unreliable
Pros: works pretty well if you connect to a site that ZA recognizes. Use the free version, do not pay for an "enhanced" version. A waste of money.
Cons: Service is non-existent. "On-line help" is a mis-use of the word help. There are many "feautures" in the enhanced versions that you pay for, and many of which features do not function and for which use there is no help available. You will feel very lucky

Support Bad? Don't know. They never respond.

Pros: Liked firewall
Cons: Couldn't use enough to evaluate.
Summary: Requested support. No Response. Request they respond to first request. No response. Faxed complaint to corp headquarters. No response. $89 down the drain. Back to Norton.

Cons: Broderbund is the worst for customer service and website help. i had no install problems, but still waiting for over a week for my licence key i PAID FOR! ZA explains not responsable for Broderbund. website offers sparten help leading one into circles. ZA

slows down machine; bad publisher.
Pros: works with mozilla and 98lite in combination which is hard to find in a firewall.
Cons: Broderbund has the the slowest servers on earth: i purchased the CD from a vendor and waiting for days to get a key emailed to me. they say up to five daz but usually 5 minutes. uses lots of cpu resources and can intefere with the operation of other softw

Works ok, but inefficient and compatibility issues
Pros: Good product for novice home users, as its easy to use. Pretty good protection too.
Cons: But ZA is also very 'inefficient' and slows down your system noticably. I had compatibility problems with my new hardware router, and I could no longer stream internet audio with ZA installed. I switched to Outpost, which I found to be very light on resou

Best I've used, bar none, and I'm a network admin.
by BorisKevorkian on September 27, 2010
Pros: This FW has caught and isolated pretty much everything I've thrown at it, including malware calling home that sailed past Avast!, Norton and McAfee on my sandbox. ZA updates automatically before every use. Advanced tasks like NAT are fully supported.
Cons: No cons on the product. One on the company behind it. By default CheckPoint bills your credit card automatically for yearly renewals. This option can be changed on your account page -- if you look carefully enough -- but auto-renewal is high-handed.
Summary: Great product. Good price. Fair customer service through email -- a little slow (~ 24 hours) but adequate, since all FWs are reasonably alike. The best way to get quick support ...

Love this firewall
Pros: Does an excellent job. Purchased version 4.0 for cheap and the one year update allowed me to upgrade to 4.5 for free. Have had no problems and use the cookie and ad blocking programs all the time.
Cons: slows down the boot up process quite a bit and have had the true vector not load a couple of times (meaning I needed to reboot to make sure the firewall was running)
