The good: Generally very good video quality; excellent connectivity, including four HDMI inputs and one component-video input with analog audio; includes universal remote control and five IR blasters to command connected equipment; very little gaming lag.
The bad: Expensive; some breakup and dropped video in certain installations; cannot support 1080p video; couldn't get audio to work with all devices; limited range.
The bottom line: Sony's well-featured DMX-WL1 lacks the competition's stability and won't match the quality of an HDMI cable, but in situations where it works, it delivers fine quality for most users.
Pros: Very good image quality. I own 2 units and each uses it's own channel, works like a charm. Have DVR, apple TV and Playstation3 all plugged on 1 unit, easy switching and 100% compatible. Remote is amazing too. Receiver attaches neatly behind Bravia
Cons: Slow change between SD & HD (couple of seconds of delay). No 1080P support, although no one will notice (really!!!) the difference when using a Bravia with 120 or 240 hz .
Summary: Just a real pleasure to have all cables and units neatly arranged away from the TV.

Pros: It's simple to setup and works great. Nothing to do really, just plug it into the receiver with a good HDMI cable. Plug the receiver into the Sony TV. And it works. I am using this over a 60ft line of site connection.
Cons: No 1080p, but I use it to watch TV...no 1080p transmission. And I have another HDTV and blue-ray play doing 1080p...not much difference.
Summary: It would have cost me about $1000 for a Fiber HDMI cable, and another severl hundred to get it run, not to mention destroying some walls. This fixes that. And ...

Summary: Ok, here's my beef with Sony,...THEY'RE TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE! And for what? technology that another brand will do the same if not better for less? No thanks ...
