Pros: Excellent sound, quick and easy setup, many usable features, great layout and easy operation, couldn't ask for more except 9.1 amplification.
Cons: The remote control could be lighted, I prefer IN and OUT simultaneous displays for channels, this was changed to either IN or OUT on this model series. You cannot change separate channel levels in the drop down panel like you could manually before.

Summary: This new Denon 2013 series offers many more options and the easiest setup from any Denon AVR I have owned to date and my other AVR, the AVR-3808CI, is a great performer, but is difficult to setup and does not offer Dolby PLIIx and PLIIz with options for 7 channel setup for either extra speakers in wide or higher front (PLIIz) mode as an option if you don't or can't do 4 back speakers. It also has plenty of HDMI inputs, HD radio, 4K and 3D pass-thru, it is quite, in my opinion, future-proof from my perspective. I would buy it again if I had to. Video up-conversion is excellent and the sound is excellent as always with Denon products. The layout of the remote could be better and it could be lighted, but if you have a universal remote that negates the need. The front panel of the AVR is uncluttered with a drop down access door, so if you are missing that remote you should be able to access most functions with the on screen display.
Pros: Airplay support (sound only). Support for Internet Radio, HD Radio, Pandora and Spotify. Setup process much better than older models (i.e. 3805) Comes with microphone for Audicy auto configuration. Support front high speakers and 3 zones.
Cons: Would have liked to see video support on Airplay from my iPad.
Summary: Latest features for a reasonable price. Great for a home theater room with higher end speakers.

Pros: Sound is one of the better ones for the price. Better GUI than last year.
Cons: Took away rhapsody support!?! Gets hotter than my old Denon receiver

Summary: Overall one of the better receivers for the price, to get any better sound I was looking at 4-6k dollar amps... Plenty of extras, online radio/pandora sounds amazing. I wish they didnt take away rhapsody support, hopefully it will come with a future update. Blu-rays and music are amazing and very well balanced.
