• Description: In addition to decoding high resolution audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD master audio, the AVR-891 is also equipped with Dolby's Pro Logic IIz decoding, which provides front height effect channels to dramatically expand the front soundstage. Pro Logic IIz also provides superb surround sound from conventional stereo audio sources, and features music, movie and game surround sound modes. Equipped with 6 HDMI inputs, the AVR-891 includes the HDMI specification, which provides 3D Blu-ray pass-through capability, as well as providing audio return channel. There are also dual component video inputs for additional HD connectivity. Standard definition video sources such as VCR and DVD are unconverted to HDMI, which allows for a single HDMI cable run to the TV, avoiding the expense and hassle of multiple cable runs.
