sound bdr reader and burner, Windows 7 drivers

Pros: Region selection up to 5 times (DVD and BDR), Stable drivers, Cyberlink accompanying software when coupled with Ultra 10 upgrade = excellent playback of Blu-ray titles. Data Burner speeds are adequate, burns and reads double layer BDRW and BDR .
Cons: Minimal Technical support. Blu-ray titles require Cyberlink ultra-10 upgrade.
Summary: I have no problems with recommending this drive, installed software suit is adequate, Blu-Ray playback with the appropriate graphics card thru HDMI port to 1920 x 1080p display is excellent. ...

Summary: I have no problems with recommending this drive, installed software suit is adequate, Blu-Ray playback with the appropriate graphics card thru HDMI port to 1920 x 1080p display is excellent. As a data backup accessory it offers 50gbyte storage at a reasonable price with double layer BDR and BDRW disks. Windows 7 drivers are stable. Have yet to try it out with aftermarket dvd/bdr burner software.

Cyberlink software doesn't work!

Pros: fast reads of DVDs, installed Windows 7 and a bunch of applications. Can't say much about burn speed, it hasn't completed a burn yet!
Cons: Customer support available for "computer products" during regular bussiness hours on weekdays . Customer support lumps this product with computer hardware not consumer electronics. Tried to burn a video file, froze with no explaination.
Summary: Poor deployment of what may be a technically excellent product. Crumby product support, seems to be in keeping with the trend to substitute hype and "first to market" mindset.
