  2 players with both the same problem

  Pros: nice remote control

  Cons: Returned first player after 2 months when it no longer would connect to internet. It would find my access point on router but would fail miserably at connecting although it did work for a couple of months. Re configuring and trying every available option

  Summary: Although the BD player seemed like a dream for a short time , it just didn't pan out to be a good model in the long run. I believe that a lot of reviews are based on short time use. At least that is how I feel since I have had 2 units that have failed me.

  I'm glad I took the plunge and purchased this BD player

  Pros: It works great and I am absolutely sure that I made the right selection for me. It is extremely rare for me to feel no hesitation in recommending the LG BD590, or any of the other models from LG. Take the plunge, you will be glad that you did, too!

  Cons: I'm still thinking of what that might be. I have played many BD and standard def. DVDs, and only one BD would not play. Not bad compared to what other Cnet members have reported on other vendors/models.

  Summary: Every thing works for me, and the player performs as it was advertised. Although I am somewhat more familiar than some, or even most, users of consumer electronics, I believe that most other actual buyers of the LG BD590 will be able to set up, register, et etc. it realitively 'hassle free.' It may be a bit more expensive than other currently available BD players and wirelessly streamed content, I have found it well worth the investment. If you are considering adding a player to your home entertainment center, you owe it to yourself to check out this one. It really does earn the top, 5 star rating (IMHO). Purchase from a reliable vendor that will honor their 'satisfaction guaranteed' pledge if you want to ensure that option.

  Nice but too many issues

  Pros: We like Netflix streaming via WiFi often although video quality suffers. It's just easy.
  I didn't have much trouble getting it setup though I did upgrade to an N router.
  Blu Ray play is good. The user interface is fairly clear and navigatable.

  Cons: DVD upscaling has sever banding. Email support was worthless. However chat help worked great. The fix is to manually set the video to 480i. This sucks for player in this price range. I keep forgetting to put it back up when I play Blu Ray.
