The good: For a compact portable Bluetooth speaker, the Jawbone Big Jambox delivers impressive sound, has good battery life, and plays loudly without distortion. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery, an auxiliary input, a rugged design, and business-grade speakerphone capabilities.
The bad: The Big Jambox is pricey and isn't as portable as its little brother, the original Jambox.
The bottom line: The Jawbone Big Jambox doesn't quite measure up to the Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile and it carries a premium price tag, but it's an impressively designed product that offers strong performance and speakerphone capabilities.

This Is The Best!

Faulty by design/production

Pros: Nice design, good sound for the size when working
Cons: Due to a bad design and poorer quality check after a while it will leave you only with wired sound.

Summary: As several other customers (just search the net) I experienced problems with sod via bluetooth (what is the problem after all it is just a quite expensive bt speaker...).
I discovered the unit was already been exchanged with rma by previous owner (bought via eBay).
Customer support argued that the warranty was not extendable by their policy to me.
It does not matter hathe product was by their own admission defect.
In conclusion: do not buy . It is poorly designed since the failure is common and/or built without adequate quality checks. This is not what you expect after paying a few bucks.

Can't hear what you can't turn on. Big Problem 4 Bigbox

Pros: Not sure what the pros are because the AC Adapter that comes with it does not work. From reading on-line, this seems to be a common problem.
Cons: It can't charge up!

Summary: Took a great deal of time deciding between the Bose and the Jambox. Got the Jambox home and couldn't even get the LED light to come on. Went on-line and found that many others had the same problem and the rep from Jawbone's reply was usually the same - probably a bad AC Adapter. If the thing doesn't work out of the box - how can I be sure it is going to work in 6 months or a year? Many of the complaints seem to have come after a month of use.

Pros: Dead simple setup. The quality and clarity of the sound is excellent. This thing gets surprisingly loud for its size without distorting. Very well built / sturdy. EXCELLENT battery life.
Cons: A little on the pricier side - but well worth it.

Summary: I went to Best Buy and did a side by side comparison of the Big Jambox with the Bose Soundlink. I went with the Big Jambox based on the clarity of the highs and mids and the overall design. I must say, I was quite impressed with the bass coming out of the Bose Soundlink, but the muddiness of the mids and highs steered me toward the jambox. After subjecting the Big Jambox to a thorough battery of tests, I'm confident that I made the right purchase.

sound your phone produces echoing from the Jambox somewhere in
the house. Text message alerts, email alerts, phone calls...
EVERYTHING! IT (the speaker phone feature) CAN'T BE TURNED OFF. I saw this yes or no question
dodged by Jawbone on one forum. I, nor anyone, buys this thing
to receive calls on. It makes it unusable in not all but most
settings. I strongly discourage this product.
