  Elegant and Powerful Speaker!

  THE BOX
  The speaker comes in a very neat box, the product is well protected for transport (so no bad surprises, and also no unnecessary packaging either). There is also a box containing UK and continental plugs (useful if you plan to take it with you abroad) and the usual documentation & CD Rom).
  
  THE DESIGN
  This is a sleek piece of kit. Just a few buttons and very stylish.
  
  SET UP
  You can either use the speaker as stand alone in any room, provided you have an electricity outlet. The iPod dock connector slides elegantly at the bottom of the speaker, so it can be hidden from view when not using (and does not collect dust!).
  
  You can also use its full AirPlay capabilities by setting it up on your home network. This is very easily done, step by step, helped by the good App you are prompted to download automatically when starting the set up. It only takes a few minutes to do, and you can start streaming straight away from your Mac. AirPlay streams by default from iTunes (select the correct speakers) or if you have Airfoil, from any source on your computer, incl. the Internet.
  
  THE SOUND
  I compared the sound with another well known mid range brand and it is pretty much spot on. Good dynamic stereo sound; the app lets you adjust bass, treble, etc. Of course it does not match the sound of a full HiFi equipment, but I did not feel it was lacking in any capacity
  
  WHY ONLY 4 STARS?
  THe product comes without a remote, which is a bit annoying if you want to use the docking station and not AirTunes. It means you always have to go to the unit to adjust the volume, or unlock your iPhone to change track, etc. But this is because I am so used to having a remote for everything in the house that maybe this will not bother another person. Otherwise, I could not find anything to improve.
