It has a big sound for a small speaker.

Summary: I first heard about it from a musician friend of mine. He played his ipad app and was playing various instruments,it blew me away how loud and clear the notes sounded. It is amazing how loud and precise the keyboard notes sounded. I dont think there is anything that sounds this good that small in fact even speakers much larger dont sound as good. If your looking for a small portable speaker or in fact just a great sounding speaker this is it.

Wow! This is a terrific Bluetooth speaker!
by peco412 on March 29, 2012

Summary: I bought the Soundmatters foxLv2 through a cnet promotion for $158.92 and received it today. I have been considering buying the Bose SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker for a while, but balked at the high cost. I have the Soundmatters foxLv2 paired with my iPhone 4s and am listening to music streamed from it as I type this. The sound is amazing for the size of the unit. It's not as full as the Bose, but the Bose isn't nearly as portable and costs more than twice as much. The Soundmatters foxLv2 fits my needs perfectly. I wish that I had gotten one sooner.

Great sound for its compact sound
by whlau on August 22, 2011
Pros: 1. Awesome sound with full range of frequencies
2. Very compact and appears to be solidly builtCons: Doesn't seem to maintain good contact with my BT phone (HTC Mogul), every few times, I need to delete the device and re-install it before it connects with the A2D protocol.
Summary: For the promotional price, this was a great deal. Even without the Bluetooth feature, this is a great speaker to have to connect to my mp3 player and laptop.

Impressive sound for the relatively low investment.
by bumbleski on August 20, 2011
Pros: The unit totally rocks allowing me the freedom to listen from across the room easily. No more earphones with my notebook and laptop for movie/music enjoyment.
Cons: Does not pickup volume controls from all devices necessitating use of rear mounted controls, not a really big deal.
Summary: I recommend this to anybody tired of the poor sound and volume from their laptop/netbooks. Acceptable sound quality with surprisingly good bass. Can get loud.
