  retro, obnoxious, and awesome

  Pros: just look at it. the sheer awesomeness of walking down the street with it is reason enough to buy it. you cant help but feel kool holding it up on your shoulder.

  Cons: Needs good rechargeable batteries; a good lithium pack or something.

  Looks cool. Works Terrible. Customer Service Laughable.

  Pros: It looks cool. Has the retro style that is making a comeback everywhere and carries the Lasonic name. The sound is good, especially at higher volumes.

  Cons: It is cheaply made. I have had this product for 2 months and already I have problems. It shuts off for no reason (in the middle of playing), half of the display no longer works and worst of all, the customer service is ridiculous. Laughable even.

  Summary: This is an expensive piece of electronics. It is certainly not portable because it is huge. A full size boom box for sure. You would think for the cost you'd get a decent product but no, it truly is a terrible device. I have had so many problems that happened in the first month of owning it I no longer use it. It turns off for no reason, half the display doesn't work anymore, the i-pod controls are virtually useless and make it difficult to navigate. The remote barely works unless you are standing close enough to touch the buttons anyway. Worst of all, when I contacted Lasonic, they sent my a form to fill out that required the receipt, the box and all original packaging, payment to ship it to and from the factory (are you serious?) and they would not except any product that was not purchased directly from them (no amazon, etc.). Needless to say I don't have half that stuff and refuse to PAY to have it shipped so it sits in the corner now taking up lot of space. I highly recommend you look for another product that will have less problems and better customer service. I have been nothing but disappointed.
