The good: The D-Link DHP-501AV PowerLine AV 500 Adapter Starter Kit offers stellar performance. It is also affordable, compatible with other Powerline AV 500 adapters, easy to use, and aesthetically appealing.
The bad: The D-Link PowerLine AV 500 Adapter Starter Kit doesn't come with a pass-through power socket and may obstruct adjacent power outlets.
The bottom line: Attractive, affordable, and very fast, D-Link's PowerLine AV 500 Adapter Starter Kit DHP-501AV is one of the best available in its class.

Very good, practical & reliable

Pros: I love the fact that it can reach so far with wiring fit for a hobo and maintain high connection speeds (min: 144Mb/s Max:240Mb/s) to the sleepout. The push button pairing and powersave are very handy also.
Cons: Asides from its bulkiness, nothing wrong with it.
Summary: Id recommend this product to someone if the situation called for it. I put in my 2 cents worth. highly recommend

Pros: Love the easy setup and the speed it provides. The units look great and are not in the way.
Cons: No passthru is a problem and I wished they made a wireless Powerline AV 500 adapter. They make a 200Mbps unit which does work with it but since the thing supports wireless N, wouldn't it have made more sense to have a wireless AV 500?

Summary: Excellent product and would highly recommend. Again, the no passthru is a bit of a pain because the unit are a little big and tend to block the second outlet. Also, the lack of Powerline AV 500 wireless adapter is annoying but it is by no means a showstopper. Originally, my units would not connect any faster than 80Mpbs but after a while they "magically" started getting better performance. I don't know if that's because they get better at filtering line noise but now, they easily go at 190Mbps so I'm happy.
