  Better than TI-83 plus.

  Pros: Essentials & cheap.

  Cons: The calculator is unnecessarily large.

  All it has is little more memory, and you don't need that much unless you are planning to put plenty of games in there.
  
  But, calculator games are mostly boring, and people play games on the computer, gameboys, or consoles, not calculators.
  
  Seriously, it is not worth it to get silver edition. They say it's better b/c it has all these softwares, but they don't help you a bit in calculation. Most of them are geometry lessons or other unnecessary and most basic stuffs.
  
  Only thing bad about this is that this is so large that you won't be able to carry it around in your pocket.

  Ideal for practical use

  Pros: Better than TI-83, easier to use than TI-89

  Cons: Garbage Collecting takes a while and hard to see after executing a program, which may lead to accidental unarchiving.

  Summary: Got a TI-83, which did not come with cords to transfer programs from computer. Got a TI-89, and didnt understand how to use it at all. TI-84 is the choice.

  better than a ti-83, but not by much

  Pros: faster, more memory, more included software than an 83. Now has a clock with date.

  Cons: Not that much greater than an 83 for the price. Bigger.

  Warning: Not compatible with 64 bit Windows!!!

  Pros: Wow, it adds, and it subtracts, just like so many other calculators

  Cons: If you own a PC with a 64 bit operating system, don't expect to interface with this calculator.

  Summary: Should it suprise you that the company that took ages to adopt the USB standard now is insanely behind the curve in producing a 64 bit driver for the PC ...

  Summary: Should it suprise you that the company that took ages to adopt the USB standard now is insanely behind the curve in producing a 64 bit driver for the PC interface? Probably not, but you have to wonder how a company can stay relevant when so many of it's competitors are innovating.
  It's been nice knowing you TI (or at least it was nice back in the 80s). Don't buy this device. It just would not be right to support such a lazy company.
