The filter uses three ceramic filters that eliminate bacteria, protozoa, cysts, algae, spores, sediments and viruses in combination with particles greater than 0.2 (0.0002mm) microns. These types of microorganisms cannot pass through the mini-pores of the filter because of the small, 0.0002mm pore size. The filters also have activated-carbon granules to reduce chemicals. Unlike disposable filters, the ceramic filters can be cleaned to extend its use. The free-standing gravity filter includes three ceramic carbon filters and a 10-liter water container with spout.
