Pros: Easy to set up with my Droid. Decent eq options. Fiarly powerful amp (52Watts/ch), separate amp outputs for 4 channels plus sub. Mic in.
Cons: Built in mic is on the faceplate and works ok, but if your car has a lot of road noise (on the freeway) or if you have your heat/air on high, it will be hard for the other party to hear you. Best to get a decent mic and run it to your visor, etc.

Summary: I've bought 3 of these. I also own an Alpine deck; for the money, the MEX-BT3900 rocks.
Also, I wish the radio preset buttons were completely separate from other buttons so I could more easilly hit the station of choice by feel. So for now I still take my eyes off the road to switch from NPR to the Indie station ;-)
Pros: Works perfectly with iPhone / iPod equipment. Easy to read display, and removable faceplate
Cons: Remote Mic for handsfree dialing was not included.

Summary: The MEX-BT3900U was purchased as a replacement for my Navigation System that was stolen last month. With a GPS in my iPhone I decided to forego getting another nav system and go with a simpler BT Audio System and Sony did just that. The design is very nice and easy to use. It paired with my iPhone and instantly played BT audio as well as interfaced with my GPS program in the iPhone. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in a very good quality radio that will interface with your Apple devices.
