Far Beyond my Expectations!

Pros: Touchscreen, Bluetooth, Navigation, included Ipod interface, DVD, 300watts, 3 preamp? DVD sound is better than home Theater, Bluetooth capability is awesome, Navigation Maps Work in Puerto Rico(Other high end brands don't) sound control is great etc.

Cons: EQ has not midrange control and I wish it did. Also, Ipod interface is a little too slow and hard to use through touch screen however works much better using included remote control.

Summary: I considered many other brands that had double DIN chasis. Granted, almost all of them have DVD, which well is not needed but included in the double DIN deal. High end brands looked impressive, but they where just the bare bone. Anything else you wanted such as iPod control (My main focal point), the customer had to buy another gizmo for that specific radio for it to work! you could buy a nice Pioneer for $550, but needed to add another $100 for cable and what not. If you wanted Blue Tooth, had to buy the Bluetooth attachment. In the end, you needed to spend $700 to $800 for minimal fun. Since I have never open my dash area where the radio and all this other items are to go in, I did not know if there was enough room for everything, including wires, adapter harness etc... Then I thought, why spend $1000 on a system that can be stolen at anytime? All this made me decide for this Dual XDVDN8290. I do not regret it. Paid $650 including shipping, install kit, adapter harness and antenna adapter. if it was to be stolen, I will not hesitate on getting another on of this heads. It has exceeded my expectations far and beyond my imagination. I truly believe that Dual as a brand is an Up and Coming rival for other High End brands such as Alpine, Kenwood etc...
