Good unit but 2 design changes are not user friendly
by dawjr on February 3, 2011
Pros: Very quick to find satellites, compared with my old 256wt,. as well as faster to recalculate. Traffic trends and My trends seem to work well although still training it (3 days new)
Cons: New Craddle mount (attaches to the unit, and snaps onto the ball of the suction cup mouth. Does not fit in standard cases
A Photo viewer using a Micro SC Card??Summary: New Cradle mount (attaches to the unit, and snaps onto the ball of the suction cup mouth. Cradle has contacts which meet with the unit, and power cord (mini usb ...
Summary: New Cradle mount (attaches to the unit, and snaps onto the ball of the suction cup mouth. Cradle has contacts which meet with the unit, and power cord (mini usb fits into 'cradle' not the unit itself). My older Garmin mount will work, but unable to attach powercord, as the unit does not have a mini usb port. It does have a separate Micro USB port for attaching to the computer (and will charge the unit also). Supposed to keep the craddle on the unit (and those it WILL NOT FIT standard cases, including the Garmin case for the product (unit fits WITHOUT the 'cradle')
Supposed to detach unit from the mouth at the 'ball' on the suction cup. Contacts on the unit, which match up to the craddle are explosed and may be subject to dirt or corruption. Do not think this new system is as easy to use or versatile love the former mount. The cradle is dedicated, you can't replace this mount execpt from Garmin, unlike the former.
A Photoveiwer using a Micro SC card??? Digital cameras use the full size SD card, why change from the former SD to Micro SD. You can't pop out the SC card from your camera and put in the Garmin using it as a picture viewer. Not the main feature of the unit, but switching to the new Micro SD, makes this feature very difficult to use.
Will somebody do something about the displays? How about a contrast adjustment? Still difficult to see display in bright sunlight.
Battery life is short, probably because of the added features - get the cord plugged in! Not much more then an 1 hour or so, and it is on low battery warning.
Parking locate does not work very well, tried it twice, knowing where my car was parked, and it seemed to want to lead me away from my car, but adjusted as I walked towards it, but when in my car, it did not recognize I was at the car.
More then ample memory, nearly 8 gigs! Over half memory available.
All in all, a good unit, but could be much better if they stayed the course with the traditional cradle mount, and full sized Micro SC card.3 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

Some things better, some not
by lowndesw on September 12, 2011
Pros: Much better touch screen, speed.
Lifetime maps
Lifetime traffic
Software is more comprehensiveCons: Cradle attachment/power mount is a step backwards

Summary: I had a nuvi 765t, decided to buy a whole new unit rather than update maps. The 765 had a very marginal touch screen, but a great power cradle, easy and quick to connect and disconnect. The new 2360 has a MUCH less easy to use connection. this situation has been somewhat eased by purchasing the new friction dash mount. Now I can place the entire unit on the floorboard every time I leave the car. Everything else works well, just like Garmin is supposed to.
Paid $186 for the 2360LMT at Amazon on 9-6-11.

I like this Garmin much better my nuvi 260W.
by Jane88005 on March 1, 2011
Pros: Brand new and haven't taken any long trips yet. Short trip was wonderful. Great for keeping the current speed, changes when-ever the signs change. Good turn notices. No problems yet.
I am hoping to use the "eco-routing" feature soon.Cons: None yet. The speech is alittle hard to understand but not unrecognizable.
Summary: All the features seem easy to use. Address entering feature is great. It brings up all possible addresses and streets.

I'm going to stick with my Nuvi 360!
by travellingbill27 on December 27, 2011
Pros: The 4.3" screen is very nice. It displays a lot of information clearly. I had no problem with the powered mount. The 2360 attached and detached about the same as the 360. Where the volume on the 360 was somewhat low, the 2360 is fine.
Cons: The satellite circle 10' but will not correctly display where my home is! It always finds the most circuitous route. It spots destinations on the opposite side of the street! It is slow to re-calculate. Speech directions are not given soon enough.
Summary: Maybe this unit was just a bad unit and I happened to get it. Never-the-less I will stick with my Nuvi 360.
