The good: The Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT's updated interface makes searching for destinations and navigation both faster and more precise. Garmin's truly hands-free voice command system is one of the best in the portable navigation business. Lifetime map and traffic updates will keep this PND up-to-date for years to come.
The bad: The Bluetooth connection doesn't sync with a phone's address book. Slow map rendering hinders overall performance.
The bottom line: With its improved interface, the Garmin Nuvi 2495LMT (Advanced Series) is as easy to use as earlier models, while offering a good blend of advanced features at a reasonable price.
Cons: Sometimes voice didn't work. No chime at turn. Often instructions came after a street or turn was already passed. Inaccurate routing. Mis-pronunciated names hard to dicipher. Not user-friendly.

Summary: I was disappointed from the first trip. It was 206 miles on a familiar route. At 50 miles we were instructed to exit the freeway, drive 23 miles, and re-enter the freeway. This would put us about 15 miles into the ocean. Later, the car icon drove out of the screen and the map froze. I had to keep moving it around to find out where we were. Then because we weren't following its erroneous directions, it kept telling us to turn right or left at the next road in an apparent attempt to get us to turn around, even when we were on the right road. On the second trip, it took us in a 4-mile circle around our destination, which was half a block off a main road. On the third trip we were directed to a dead end 3 miles in the opposite direction from our destination, which was located on a main road. Its fourth trip was back to the store. No matter how many features a GPS offers, if it can't get you to your destination, it is worthless.
Pros: Good Bluetooth connectivity, no issues synchronising phone address book and limited option voice command worked quite well.
Cons: Traffic update didn't work, I updated map, didnt show correct address.Worst come, while driving on single lane City Street (not on bridge), Garmin was hovering me over far off parallel running 4 lane freeway and was guiding me through accordingly.
Summary: I have used different GPS before (Including free GPS provided by Sumsung Galxay) and I have found all of them more reliable then Garmin.

Pros: Screen is very clear. The prompts are always clearly spoken and the split screen is most helpful when entering two sets of lanes. It is the very best GPS I have ever used. Perhaps the other review had a bad unit.
Cons: None so far

Summary: I really like the 5" screen and the split screen views. Also, when needed, you can speak to the GPS and it will respond. It is a very nice feature. It does have to "learn" the way you talk and will take a little time to set it up properly. You do have to get into the menu screens and set up what type of route you need, to either by-pass toll roads, highways or off road. When you download a custom route to your Garmin you have to tweek it a little and then you can actually drive your route on the screen to see if it is what you wanted. All in all a very good unit well worth the $199. You can also find re-furbished units on Ebay for $149 or so. These vendors buy them directly from Garmin and they are Manufacturer Reconditioned and have a one year warrenty.
Pros: Big, bright screen. Easy bluetooth integration.
Cons: I travel for work, and the GPS often can't find the address I'm looking for. Since that's what you buy a GPS to do, the Garmin is a total failure. It also won't offer me the option of routing around toll roads.

Summary: I service alarms, and travel at least 1,000 miles every week. I need my GPS to get me there, and this one often lets me down. I believe the menu system is the culprit, but it didn't matter. I hated the expense of map updates in my old TomTom, and the fact that their updating software was awful, buit in six months it only let me down twice, and always it would get me close with only a few clicks. The Garmin is a complete bust at doing what you buy a GPS to do. Avoid at all costs.
