Get the 50LM, not this one. Has lifetime maps.
by RhysOrd on March 1, 2012
Pros: Easy to read. Thankfully, that "recalculating" voice is gone. Lane Assist looks useful.
Cons: None so far.
Summary: CNET should have reviewed the 50LM, not this one. Mine came with the USB cable, perhaps due to the Lifetime Maps feature. Excellent value.

Overall, an outstanding GPS for your car
by KRJohnson2 on February 29, 2012
Pros: 5-inch screen is absolutely beautiful; very fast satellite capture; very fast navigation times, original, and re-calculate; reasonable menu design - relatively easy to find your way around; lane graphics preparing for turns coming up work well
Cons: No traffic option (but, considering how most of these work, not a big loss); short battery life (compared to competitors)
Summary: Get one - you'll love it. At $120, or so, a great deal

Pros: works well and accurate. clear directions and turn-by-turn. screen is easy to read when mounted on windshield
Cons: defective hardware that will drive you nuts.
Summary: The hardware itself crapped out for no apparent reason. It just froze in the opening "loading" screen and never went back to normal. No matter if it was restarted or ...

Summary: The hardware itself crapped out for no apparent reason. It just froze in the opening "loading" screen and never went back to normal. No matter if it was restarted or plugged in/unplugged, it would never come back. Trying to sync it with computer failed. Customer Service was nice enough and is going to replace the unit, but for a simple, bare-bones unit under 1 year old, I would expect a little more longevity. Hopefully this is just a singularly faulty product, but as the only one I've purchased essentially died for no reason at all, I can't give it a good review.

Happy with product.
by mrswilliam on November 30, 2012
Pros: Very easy to use. It has saved me more than once.
I think the price is very fair.
Cons: Doesn't take into account road construction, won't take no for an answer.
