Cons: Tricky to sync connection using Bluetooth at first
Summary: I'm definitely impressed with the voice and map capabilities of this unit. Although not advertised as such, this unit works fine with my Palm TX.

When synching over Bluetooth, make sure you turn the GPS receiver on FIRST, and then start the TomTom Nav software on the PDA. Otherwise, you'll get that annoying "GPS Not Found" error and the "rapid blink" on the GPS unit.
The software generates very accurate turning directions, and the GPS unit hasn't lost signal while navigating through streets with taller buildings in medium-sized cities. The GPS unit is also small enough to hide just about anywhere in a safe nook or cranny on your dash or on the sill of your rear window (so it doesn't slide around).
I like to turn my TX's screen on its side when mounting it to my windshield, and using my finger to navigate throught the menus.
An excellent companion while traveling on business in rentals or finding your way through a new city on a roadtrip -- most definitely a worthwhile accessory for your Palm.
Pros: Very easy to load onto my PDA, and accurate to within 10 feet!
Cons: Maps dont change automatically

Summary: Folks theres no sense anymore of forking over money to automobile makers for a navi system anymore. The interface between this program and a PDA is flawless. If you have a PDA - you have a wonderful opportunity to use a navi system that will be as portable as your PDA is. Bike rides, climbing, trail blazing. No its not as sophisticated as some of the larger units, but face it, if you need to drop points for the return trip, then your hard core and shouldnt be using this item. I dont like that I have to change maps when crossing state borders, but it gives my legs a chance to stretch. Great system.
Summary: I was really looking forward to a nice navigation solution using my Palm Tungsten E2. Bluetooth gave me some nice options.
Since I set this up, I have had continuous problems with the connection between the Palm and the GPS receiver. The only solution each time is to do a soft-reset of the Palm, and sometimes a Hotsynch too. Of course this is nearly impossible when driving!
When it does work, it is nice to be able to select a name from the contact list and have the TomTom Navigator5 software automatically calculate a route. The driving instructions are easy to follow and the voice commands are clear. The included charger works great for both the receiver and the Palm. There are many items that can be configured.
I'm still waiting for Palm to come up with a solution to the Bluetooth connection problem. I do not have this problem with other Bluetooth devices.
My wife is angry with me for not returning this product when I had the chance.
Summary: Anyone know how to get my Treo 650 to recognize my bluetooth GPS? I have tried everything. The instructions and website help did not work.
How do I contact Palm support? It is non-existent especially for accessories. How do I do returns? It is impossible. literally.. Palm support is so worthless and nonexistant..
I was gifted a Navigator 5 bundle for my Treo 650. My 650 will not recognize my GPS. Palm does not have any available support. No email/ telephone/ chat or anything. There is a listed telephone and email address for holux (GPS manufacturer?). I called and they said it is possible the GPS is defective. They said that they would email RMA info, but never did. I tried emailing with no response. It is in Taiwan. At best, I will get a replacement GPS and have to pay shipping to Taiwan. Basically wasted overnight shipping for it (it was sent to me as a gift). Palm support is very poor. Highly unsatisfied.
