Summary: The PlayGear Pocket for the PSP by Logitech is a fantastic product. I was at first skeptical to buy this case for my PSP because I was satisfied with the pouch that came with the PSP value pack; however, after buying the Logitech case, and having put my PSP in it, I became immediately sold.
Pros:
For starters, the case itself feels very sturdy, and my PSP fit perfectly in the case giving me an even more secure feeling. The AC adapter socket, headphone socket, and shoulder button openings are all exactly where they are supposed to be, so you can use any of those features while the PSP is in the case with the case closed/opened. What's nice is they also have openings for the Wireless Lan and power buttons which allows you to use those features while the case is closed.
The case also serves as a stand for people who enjoy watching movies on the PSP but don't want to hold it at the same time. Testing on tables at various heights, the angle that your PSP sits at while the case is in stand mode is adequate in a variety of positions, so the viewer won't have to strain in their seat to get the perfect angle. The box for the case says you can also use the case as a sun visor, but when I tested with my PSP outside on a sunny day, I didn't really notice any significant light blockage while using the visor.
Cons:
While the case itself does not weigh much (I'd say under .50 pounds), after placing my PSP in the case, the entire package seemed much heavier than I had presumed the two would weigh before placing the PSP in the case. The case can also be somewhat hard to open and close, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing since this is probably due to how snuggly the PSP fits in the case and how secure the case is built.
Also, for those of you out there wondering. The case comprises of a thick plastic casing with the polycarbon lining the inside of the case, so your PSP WILL NOT be scratched while it's in the case or when opening or closing the case.
Overall this is an excellent product for anyone owning a PSP and looking for a very sturdy and sleek looking case. I'd give it an 8.5 which I'll round up to a 9.
UpdatedThis is probably old news, but for those who don't know yet, the rubber lining of the PlayGear Pocket case can be removed and an insert of just about any graphic (after being carefully traced and cut out) can be placed behind the rubber lining which would then be displayed on the front/back of the case. Basically you can make your own custom PlayGear Pocket case with whatever picture you want displayed. There are already many custom skins floating around the internet ready to be downloaded, printed, and used. This is just another reason why the Logitech case is such a nice addition to the Sony PSP.

Pros: Strong, Durable, Skin-able! and it makes you PSP more comfortable to hold.
Cons: Open ports on the sides, although are "Pros" have the potential to be "Cons" as well. Weight too, although it does'nt feel that heavy in my opinion
Summary: Anyone who is looking for the ideal case to place your "PSP", look no further than the "Logitech Playgear Pocket".

Summary: Anyone who is looking for the ideal case to place your "PSP", look no further than the "Logitech Playgear Pocket".
I was skeptical at first after reading many reviews about this product. The biggest issue Ive read is about the weight after the "PSP" has been put in. Ive also read about all the Pros it has and saw that the Pros out-weigh the Cons. So with that in mind, I decided to pick one up at my local BestBuy.
After opening it up and putting my "PSP" in, it did weigh more, but not that badly. In-fact, I like the extra weight of it because rather than feeling like it weighs the machine down, it makes the PSP feel more expensive! This is mostly because of the ergonomic design of the whole thing.
It is so comfortable to hold in your hands with the "PSP" inside of it, that it feels like this is how the "PSP" itself sould have felt like. If you want an idea of how comfy it feels in your hands, take out your old original spinach-green "Gameboys". It has a feel as natural as that!
And of course, the "Playgear Pocket" is the most ideal case when watching movies! The fold-back design makes watching movies on a flat surface Ideal! The fold leaves the "PSP" tilted slightly upwards so if you are sitting up-right, you can wach the screen perfectly! It is perfect for airplane flights, or even on your kitchen table while eating a sandwich (If you dont have a TV in the kitchen already).
Another great feature of this case is that you can skin it!!! You can make your "Playgear Pocket" custom designed to your tastes! You can print out the pre-made design
from websites such as www.playgearpocketskins.com, or design one of your own from scratch! You can download the template at the same website.
The only Cons I find with the "Playgear Pocket" are its openings so you can access the buttons while inside the case. While the openings are a pro, they can also be Cons because when it is closed, foreign objects can get inside the case. But as long as you are careful where you put it, there is no problem. The Cons of this are the only thing that holds this case back from getting a perfect 10 score on www.cnet.com
Personally, I have a large pocket in some of my pants and I put it in there. I just make sure there is no pocket change or lint inside my pocket before I put it in there. Overall, I recommend this case to everyone who is looking to protect their investment. Its amazing that a case this good only costs $19.99

Summary: I really can't say anything bad about this case. It does what it was designed to do and it does it very well. Sure the outside of the case will scratch up but hey that is what it was designed to do. Keep your PSP nice and scratch free!
Only "wish list" item would've been storage for UMDs or for a wipe cloth. However, I was able to keep my cloth on the top portion of the case as long as it was maintained in the bag that the cloth came in.
I finally stopped carrying it around since my co-workers kept using it to clean their PSPs! If you purchase any accessories, this is a must have and it should be bought the same day as the PSP!

Summary: So worth 20 bucks. I was walking up the stairs in the subway and dropped my PSP. Luckily, I had it in this case. I watched my PSP slam down 10 steps before finally hitting the ground. Thank God it didn't go on the tracks. I opened up the case and my PSP was fine. The system didn't even crack. Wow. Only prob is that if you play a game while the PSP is in the case the edges kinda irritate the hands. Next case should have a clear front so you can play with the case closed. Also, maybe some rubber on the palm areas so its more comfortable to use while in play. Small things for a great case. YOU NEED TO GET IT!!!

If you don't really take your PSP anywhere, unless you just toss it in a bag, you're fine. But if you actually carry it with you, don't get this case.

Summary: I bought this case for 10 USD where I live, so I didn't really expect much. I agree that this case is durable. Although I dropped it quite a few times (withou the psp, thankfully), even though there are many minor scratches, the case didn't break. For me, it's LESS comfortable playing PSP with this case on. I'm just guessing, but the case is like nearly as heavy as PSP (or at least 2/3 of the PSP's weight). My hands get tired soon, and the rough edges around the case is pretty painful sporadically. Although Logitech claims that the case visor can be roated 270 degrees to act as a stand, I seriously doubt that. The white plastic part in the middle that connects the visor to the lower part of the case is not as strong as I thought. Nearly impossible to use it as a stand unless the thing is by a wall or something. Of course, this may be the case with only my case, but it's just a mediocore case that gets all the hype which it doesn't deserve.

Pros: Provides EXCELLENT protection for your 250 dollar investment,, cane be used as a make-shift stand, openings for important switches and ports, don't have to take out the PSP while playing,
Cons: Somewhat heavy, makes the PSP much thicker and heavier, no hole for the USB port, rubber covering constantly falls off, when opened the screen is vulberable to damage, must take out PSP to load games
Summary: Overrall this is a great case for your precious PSP. The top flips over to shade yuor PSP from glare, and acts as a makeshift stand. However, I recently went ...

Summary: Overrall this is a great case for your precious PSP. The top flips over to shade yuor PSP from glare, and acts as a makeshift stand. However, I recently went to Target and went to the PSP section. What i saw there startled me and PISSED me off. On the walls were PSP cases that were actually more stylsigh that the Playgear pocket, protected the screen with a plastic cover, and was about the same size and the same COST! It was exactly like the playgear pocket except more stylish and with a plastic cover on the inside. THIS PISSED ME OF SO BAD!!! So although this IS a good case there are better ones out there. But this is still a solid choice for protecting your wallet-destroying PSP.

The only problem is that it lets lint or dust somehow get in, I guess that is because of the openings to make it usuable.
