Very Disappointed
by tlmedia on December 17, 2009
Pros: None. Can't think of a single positive.
Cons: Overly complex and non intuitive GUI's. HUGE program. Over 1 Tera-byte. It would never run correctly. Roxio support was helpful, but could never come up with the right answers.
Summary: I really think they tried and failed to put too many features into RCP 2010. I've had great luck with their products before, but not this one. I have ...
Summary: I really think they tried and failed to put too many features into RCP 2010. I've had great luck with their products before, but not this one. I have plenty of resources, Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 4 Gig or RAM. I had to uninstall it with Revro Uninstaller which found 23316 registry entries. Yes, you read me correctly. Go simpler, be happy!
Sorry, the program is approx. 1.2 Gb,not Tb, but still huge. I just uninstalled it with Revo uninstaller and found another 1,000+ registry entries that would not have been deleted with included uninstaller. It took at lease an hour, even with Revo. If you don't have Revo, get it. It's FREE and EXCELLENT!

WORST PROGRAM, WORST TECH SUPPORT & WORST COMPANY SEEN.
by 3284dribkcalb on March 3, 2013
Pros: absolutely none
Cons: -- program never installed
-- 83,000 registry entries left over
-- tech support absolutely sucks; NO HELP WHATSOEVER
-- company totally NON-responsiveSummary: STAY AWAY FROM ALL ROXIO PRODUCTS -- WORST PROGRAM I HAVE EVER SEEN, WORST TECH SUPPORT I HAVE EVER SEEN AND WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Almost finished installing and "rolled back" the install. NOW, I HAVE OVER 83,000 REGISTRY ENTRIES IN MY REGISTRY. Tech support ABSOLUTELY NO HELP AT ALL. If I took the time to put some of their comments here YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS TECH SUPPORT I WAS TALKING TO. Seriously, WORST PROGRAM I HAVE EVER SEEN, WORST TECH SUPPORT I HAVE EVER SEEN AND WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER SEEN. Wen to the trouble of writing them a letter and NO RESPONSE OF ANY KIND. -
Eats your computers RAM, processor, and Hard Drive.
Pros: It has sometimes been my only option and when I used it, it would eventually give me what I wanted.
Cons: I had over the system requirements and the program would freeze and take forever to load, often creating skips in a DVD project or VHS recording. VideoWave (video editing software) would freeze constantly and be hard to work with.
Summary: There are many freeware and open source programs you can find that do a much better job. It was annoying, glitchy, and slow. I had high hopes for this, but ...

** DANGER ** DANGER ** DANGER ***
by yowbooks on September 8, 2010
Pros: I got this because I liked Roxio 2010. Dumb luck that. I took the earlybird deal. By the way, try and get a refund. They take you into an error loop on that as well.
Cons: This software is terribly invasive. It corrupted my Windows 7 Pro x64 system so badly, the only way to uninstall it was to hose the C: drive and recover from an Acronis backup.
Summary: This stuff is so bad, it's evil.

I had to submit first form 4 times before finally getting the 'elusive' email with link to next form. -
Big, time-wasting mistake! DO NOT BUY!
by GreenwoodLake on July 5, 2010
Pros: Nice logo.
Cons: Worst intallation imaginable! After wating hours and hours the program doesn't even work beyond the menu because of error messages.

Summary: Kept getting the error message "The certificate file is missing or corrupted ..." I wasted hours and hours using their DeleteCertFile software, following their laboreous uninstall directions, over and over again - none of it worked. And their Customer Service wanted me to do it all over again for the 5th time! This is the program from Hades!

I do not recommend this software

Summary: Previous versions of Creator were easy to install and use. Creator 2010 Pro failed when I was trying to install it and then required extensive manual intervention to remove partially installed files and registry entries. After encountering these problems I searched the web and found everyone is having the same problems trying to install this package.
After much aggravation, I was able to get it installed.
I wanted to use it to burn Lightscribe disks with my Toshiba netbook. However, I then found that the software requires 1024X768 graphics. Most netbooks, including my Toshiba NB305, only have 1024X600 so it will not allow me to label a Lightscribe disk. Since netbooks are the fastest growing segment of the market, you would think they would fix this problem but they haven't.
