The good: The BlueAnt Wireless Supertooth Light Bluetooth speakerphone has excellent sound quality, thanks to full duplex speakers and noise- and echo-cancellation technologies. You can attach and detach it from your car's visor easily.
The bad: The BlueAnt Wireless Supertooth Light Bluetooth speakerphone has slightly squishy buttons.
The bottom line: The BlueAnt Wireless Supertooth Light Bluetooth speakerphone has a lightweight body. It has excellent sound quality, thanks to full duplex speakers
Measuring only 4.8 inches long by 2.37 inches wide by 0.72 inch deep and weighing in at 4.05 ounces, we found the Supertooth Light to be a lightweight and portable device. This makes it really easy to bring it around to conference rooms or switch it between different vehicles. It has a simple rectangular design, has an almost all-black body, and its speaker is housed in a rounded square with the BlueAnt logo right on the front of the device. Next to it are the Accept and End/Reject call buttons, both of which are large and well-spaced. On top of the device are the volume buttons. All the buttons were well-spaced, but felt a little squishy when pressed, though that wasn't too big of a hindrance. Underneath the buttons are the indicator lights--one is a Bluetooth indicator and the other is a charge indicator. The Bluetooth indicator light flashes when it's connected to a phone, and the charge indicator lights up when it's charging, plus it glows red when the battery is low.
At this point, you may be wondering where the location of the power switch is. It's actually ingeniously incorporated into the hidden microphone shaft located on the right spine. Press the square down into the device and release; the microphone shaft will pop out and the speakerphone will power on. When you push the shaft back in, it will power down. The Supertooth Light immediately goes into automatic pairing mode when activated for the first time, which makes the first pairing a much easier process. On the back of the Supertooth Light are a couple of magnets which can be attached to an included metal visor clip so the phone fits easily on the car's visor.
We paired the BlueAnt Wireless Supertooth Light speakerphone with the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 and the LG VX9400 easily and successfully. You can answer, end, and reject calls with the Supertooth Light, but you still have to make calls with your cell phone prior to using it. The full duplex speakers worked out great, and callers sounded crisp and clear--much louder than had we just utilized the phone's built-in speakers. We tried it out in a conference room as well as in a car, and sound quality did not diminish. Callers also reported hearing us loud and clear, thanks to the device's noise- and echo- cancellation technologies.
Aside from answering and ending calls, the Supertooth Light also features voice-dial support, last number redial, call transfer between it and the cell phone and vice versa. It can also pair with up to five different Bluetooth-enabled devices. The Supertooth Light comes with the aforementioned visor clip, a charger cable for the car, and an AC adapter. It also comes with a bonus cell phone holder for the car. The Supertooth Light has a rated talk time of 15 hours and a rated standby time of about a month.

Perfect, forget those ear pieces

Summary: Purchsed the BlueAnt Supertooth light for $59 from j&R.com. Things couldn't be easier. Setup took about 2 minutes and the device works great. I wasn't about to drive around looking like Captain Kirk with an ear piece attached to my head. Did you ever see those people walk into a store still wearing them? It recognizes my phone the second I get into the car and if you have voice dialing capability on your phone it will now work through your Supertooth. A much needed, much used item. Fantastic. Standby claims to be one month, but I suppose that depends upon how much you use it in the car and how amny calls you make (talk time about 8 hours). Recharging is quick with both a cigarette adaptor and an AC adaptor. This certainly falls under the the "why didn't I think of that catagory"

Easy to setup and use, great value

Pros: Clear sound,, good volume, easy setup, clever power on/off feature, great battery life, callers says sounds great on their end
Cons: No LCD on unit, otherwise none

Summary: Picked this up from Amazon and after about a month of use, absolutely love it. Set up with my AT&T Tilt took a minute. Simple design--make/take call, end call, volume rocker and on/off button--that's it. The design for turning the unit on/off is great. Press the button to extend the boom mike--unit is now on. Push it back in, unit is now off.
Loudspeaker volume range is very good, sound is clear. Most callers I speak to don't even realize I'm on a bluetooth speaker. Unit attaches via 2 strong magnets in the unit to metal clip on your sun visor--will not budge unless you give the unit a twist to move the magnets out of alignments from a grove on the clip. This design is nice because no permanent clip makes the unit size efficient and easily pocketed or stowed in a bag.
My only wish for this item would be an LCD display on the unit itseft to display caller ID so you do not have to look at your phone--thus the 9/10 score. Not a big deal for me as I have my Tilt in a windshield mounted cradle within my driving line of sight.
Battery life is awesome. I am not a heavy user as I'm only usually in my car for my daily commute or occasional errands but I still haven't had to recharge the battery.
Cannot recommend this device enough.6 out of 6 users found this user opinion helpful.

Superb unit
by RogerWilkins on October 26, 2007
Pros: Incredibly easy to use. Works seamlessly with phone. Sounds great. I did not expect such a well-conceived and implemented product. It makes expensive hard-wired in-car systems look ridiculous.
Cons: power cord to cigarette lighter is short

Summary: I love this device. It was so easy to use and pair with all of my bluetooth stuff in the car. The only minr flaw is the slide out microphone which doubles as the power on/off button on the device. It does not always want to go back into its slot and can drain the battery rather quickly if not placed back. Other then that this is a great unit. BlueAnt does it once again.

getting "unknown audio device" when I tried to pair it to my Treo 755p, but after I did a soft reset to my phone, it worked. I tested it out in my neighborhood and on I-95 w/the windows down and the music at a normal level. It was awesome!
The one problem I had (and it could be a deal breaker) is that when I was on the speakerphone for more than 5 min, a LOUD buzzing sound emitted through the thing. The first time it happened I was just sitting in my car. The second time I was driving! It scared the mess outa me. I had to hang up my call for it to stop. I called the customer support and emailed them with this issue and am awaiting a response. I really like it so I hope this problem gets resolved. Will keep you all posted.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Really like this bluetooth.
by Smiley5 on September 26, 2009
Pros: Works like it is supposed to. Battery life is very long. I have forgotten to turn it off and come out in the morning and it is still on and haven't charged the battery in weeks. Definitely worth the value.
Cons: When hooked up on the metal clip, it is easy to hit it when getting in and out of the car and moving it around or actually knocking the thing off the clip. It has flown out of the car when getting knocked like that.
Summary: Magnet holder could be better. Did not come with a cell phone holder as stated in the review, and it is not included in the list on the box even ...

Excellent Sound Quality-No More Ear Pieces
by JustTheTip on September 1, 2009
Pros: Great Sound, Simple to Use, Setup within seconds, POrtable and Can use in my Home Office. Reasonably priced for such a qualityunit-a bargain. People I spoke with said I sound loud and clear and could not believe I was on a blue tooth
Cons: None so far-worried about the the on off switch possibly breaking, but other than that I don't have anything to complain about
Summary: You cannot go wrong with this-definitely better than the average bluetooth product and the price is reasonable. Also works great with voice dialing.

Summary: I have tried this thing with the window down, sunroof open, etc. and I can hear fine. Others say they can hear me fine, too. Big difference from my older Bluetooth headset. This one stays in the car (where I want it). I HATE walking around with a headset on (look like an imbecile--so does everyone who wears one, by the way). Works fine with WM Smartphone and MS Voice Command. ALso paired easily with 2 Motorola cell phones. Incoming calls just "ring"---no ID or text to speech. I don't use that anyway (it still shows up on the phone). Battery life is incredible. You hardly ever have to charge this if you push the mic stalk in when you're done. Lasts, literally, for months. Great product so far (had it a few weeks). It was about 50.00 on Amazon with free shipping.
