Difficult to install poor support
by Mr303 on March 14, 2010
Pros: Nice idea good film
Cons: Do not expect to install this product and have a good result. Film is very tacky and sticks to itself and device readily. If you try to remove it it will become useless. If you have any problems like bubbling Zagg will not replace it

Summary: Small pieces and extreme tacky adhesive makes good results difficult to achieve. I have worked with many films and stick on lettering and have never had as much trouble as with this product. Warranty does not apply if you can't install it or have bubbles under skin. Removing the skin will stretch and destroy it. Results were marginal regarding looks and final smoothness without bubbles is almost impossible to achieve. I bought this product before reading reviews as it looks great on-line but achieving the expected results is nearly impossible without much work and difficulty, Not worth the cost.

Buy but be ready to be dissapointed! Read and see why.
by ahipdaddy on August 10, 2010
Pros: It will protect your phone if you are worried about scratches. Mall Kiosk purchases are recommended since they guarantee there work. Much better clearness than other generic brands when properly applied. Now read my con's I am being gentle.
Cons: Does not protect from drops so ultimately having a case is necessary. I have had them reapply 3 x and finally realized these bubble up when a case is being used. They easily pinch up. Not as easy as it looks to apply.

Summary: I have an Iphone 4. Objective with original purchase of the invicible shield was to give added protection while using my case. Well what I got with this was added protection but for the extra $20 the bubbling up and the edges peeling off of screen because of contact from case is a huge negative. When the case is not used it looks beautiful, once the case is on it looks as ugly and as cheap as the inexpensive products. My son's phone 2x reapplied with new screen protector, my phone also. End result not worth the money. I'm staring at my phone as I'm writing edge of phone completely around is has air pockets and lifting. This was redone 3 days ago. Waited 24 hours as recomended put on my Apple case, in a matter of a few minutes it started peeling. Good luck and I will say it now. I told you so but you didn't listen . Great job stimulating the economy.

Best electronic protector out there.
by mrtechgeek22 on July 7, 2010
Pros: -You can barely see it
-Smooth
-Really does work--I dropped my iPhone on tar after partying one night. it skidded down the road and was still perfectly fine.Cons: a bit tricky to put on if you don't know what you're doing but you can figure it out.
Summary: bottom line is this is a MUST for smartphones, ipads, cameras or any other electronic that is fragile. it works amazing and is affordable and durable.

Summary: The Best ones out there. Have tried many others and once they get a scratch in the protective skin it stays there. The Zagg is self healing. Have had it on three phones and none of them show any scratches. I'm a mechanic and the abuse that I give a phone is unreal and the Zagg protective skins are the only ones that I will ever use.
By the way all screens take a little grey matter to install, They just don't throw themselves on the phone, The Zagg is no different, Just takes a little patience to put it on. Once its there it stays

Great product
by GMCslizz on May 18, 2012
Pros: Great protection. Once on, it stays on. Relatively easy to install (if you take the time), or have someone at a Zagg cart do it for you. Lifetime warranty is awesome. Offer two varieties now (regular and HD), the latter of which does not dimple.
Cons: It is not a case (which sounds ridiculous to say, but it seems some people on here think it will protect the phone from falls). The regular one may dimple, creating a wave pattern, and has a rubbery texture (however, this aids in gripping the phone).
Summary: Invisible Shields are probably the best screen protectors around, and are available for a wide range of products. They offer great protection (e.g. Somehow my phone got a large ...
Summary: Invisible Shields are probably the best screen protectors around, and are available for a wide range of products. They offer great protection (e.g. Somehow my phone got a large gouge through the front screen, but luckily only my Invisible Shield was damaged, which was promptly replaced via the warranty).
If you take the time to install it properly, they seldom peel off or get bubbling (at least in my experience). Make sure to work in a dust free environment, wash your phone/gadget (with appropriate solution and microfiber cloth) and hands first. When installing it, don't be afraid to use too much applying solution, as this will be squeegeed out later, taking dust and air bubbles with it. Also make sure to wet your fingertips with the solution to prevent fingertips. Alternatively, get someone at a Zagg cart to do it for you (often found outside Apple stores in malls). Doing it properly will avoid later peeling around the edges as well, by ensuring that the entire shield adheres to the phone/gadget. Lastly, if the gadget is large (e.g. an iPad), it may help to have one person apply the application solution, while the other holds the shield to prevent it from sticking to itself.
However, this is not a case for your gadget. That is, it will not protect against falls, throws, bumps, etc., save for preventing scratches. Make sure to invest in a good case as well. Some cases are not compatible with the Invisible Shield (or any screen protector for that matter), such as ones which need to be tightly pulled over the gadget (and can thus cause the protector to peel away). Bumper-style cases for brick/slab style phones are a good option, especially ones that assemble in two pieces and ones that overlap with the screen protector (preventing peeling back around the edges).
I have used Invisible Shields for most/all of my gadgets with screens (or shiny parts) and have never had a problem with them. I recently purchased the Invisible Shield HD for my phone and love the product. The Invisible Shield HD has the same "glassy" texture as the phone itself, rather than the rubbery texture that the regular Invisible Shield has. This does give less grip to the phone though, which is dangerous, especially if you are using the Invisible Shield as a case.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Overpriced, best be applied in dust free environment.
by msilla80 on June 11, 2010
Pros: Low profile, seems pretty resilient/durable.
Cons: Price, these average about $20 a pop, and you don't get much. Application itself isn't hard, keeping the back free of dust and debris after opening and before application is. It takes 12-24 hours to set, during which the phone must be powered off.

Summary: I have the LG Rumor Touch phone, and there are no hard or rubberized cases to protect the phone due to its slide out keyboard. At they very least I wanted something to protect the screen since it does spend time in my purse.
$20 seemed a little steep, but hey you have to protect your gizmos. For $20 I got one screen protector, A small cheap piece of fabric that they claimed was microfiber, and a sponge with cleaning solution.
Per instructions I washed my hands, wiped my phone down with the said cloth, then used the enclosed sponged to wet my fingers, and the back of the screen guard, and things just went down hill from there. There was already a speck of the back sponge on the the sticky side and some other small dust particles that had been floating around. I was able to wipe the dust off, however the lack bit of sponge would not come off. I tired using a household cleaner made for electronics, I tried using some good old fashioned elbow grease and it would not budge. This thing was ruined before I would even get it on my phone.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Excellent Protection/Value Difficult installation
by wizbang_fl on January 8, 2010
Pros: Very durable and protective shield.
Cons: Extraordinarily difficult installation. I used the assistance of a friend to install theirs and then mine, but with patience and a steady hand it was worth it.

Summary: Excellent Protection for a Reasonable Price. But more expensive than other screen protectors. I have been very hard on my cell phones and end up with scratches on the screens due to putting them in pockets with keys thrown in bags, etc. This case has taken a beating and still endures with harming the screen. There are places you can tell the screen has been dug in by keys, these can be smoothed out with the tool. Patience is required and a friend to assist works the best to get the protector on properly the first time. Make sure to clean your hands with the screen cleaner before you wipe down the phone It will take any oils off of our fingers and help reduce the appearance of any fingerprints.

Summary: Watch the video, but remember that the person doing it there has probably installed several already. Of course it won't be as easy as it looks so expect some bumps along the way. Still, if you follow the instructions to the letter and be patient, it will come out alright. Admittedly, lining it up for the back was a bit tricky, but in the end I only had to move it three times before I finally got it. Keep it and your fingers moist.
I installed mine in less than 10 minutes and had no problems what so ever. YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL. If you find bumps, push them out. If they don't come out the first time, PUSH HARDER. Work the squeegee over a bump to gradually push it out from under the film, pushing very firmly the entire time. Don't think that just by running the squeegee over a large area that you will get the bumps out.
Even when first applied I had no streaks. I made sure that there were no bubbles when I applied it and it still remains bubble free.
I can understand why some are frustrated, but I also think that they probably just didn't have the patience to follow through with some of the steps thoroughly. Application is a very detail oriented procedure.
Product is great. Not recommended for the weak hearted, fumble fingered, or impatient.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Protect your gadget without neoprene or leather
by tdaloisio on December 30, 2008
Pros: Low profile, inexpensive, easy to install, adds a tactile feel to the screen that actually enhances the usability a little, more smudge resistant than the glass.
Cons: You are adding a film on top of the device and that isn't as sleek as the original. But it's miles better than a case.
Summary: Talk about low profile protection. I installed the invisible shield on my new iPhone 3g and while, you notice it a little, the secure feeling of not scratching the screen ...
Summary: Talk about low profile protection. I installed the invisible shield on my new iPhone 3g and while, you notice it a little, the secure feeling of not scratching the screen in my pocket is worth it.
The videos on their website will tell you everything you need to know about installation. It went pretty smoothly for me.
The "film" actually makes it a little easier for me to type on the touch screen. I don't slide on the screen as much.
There are noticeably less smudges now from my oily finger tips on the touch screen.
All in all....I would recommend this product.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.
