Summary: You will get nowhere near the battery life rated by Motorola with this phone. In standby I get MAYBE 2 days. Compared that with my free Samsung phone from Cingular that gets 6 days on standby. That's just unacceptable. The color screen is nice when in dark areas. In any light you can't see anything. Add in the fact that it's a brick and you'll be wondering why you got the free phone real fast. If my company didn't push this on me I would be dropping it in the trash without a second thought.
Spend a little money and stay away from this free phone.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Nice Lightweight Phone
by blackequinox2005 on April 19, 2005
Pros: Nice Design, Lightweight, Orange Backlight Keys, Color Screen, Good Signal & Features
Cons: Color Screen Could Be More Clear and a Bit Bigger & Battery Life Sucks.

Summary: This is the newest phone out for Nextel service and it is one of the lighest (if not the lightest) phone so far. I really like the blue and gray design and how the jeys light up nice and orange. The speakerphone is nice and clear. The voice dialing is nice and so is the color screen even though it's not the biggest and brightest out there. My biggest beef with this phone is the battery doesn't last long at all. I barely use it and just leaving th phone all day you will still loose half the battery life.

Pros: Voices come through clear and clean. Battery life is pretty good. On standby I can get about 5-6 days. Speaker is good. This phone is TOUGH. I have dropped it, dropped it, dropped it, left it in the cold, left it in the heat, and dropped it many times. It has never broke and I have never had to have it repaired.
Cons: This thing is UGLY. I get made fun of all the time for my "huge" phone. haha. No camera
After 2 years of wear and tear, I can tell battery life is not holding as long.
Overall this is a good phone. -

Summary: all the nextels i've ever been around just have full signal stregnth then drops to no service, that really bothers me, so does the text messaging, a lot of times when i get a text messgage it takes a few minutes to get to my phone or it tells me i have it just takes forever to open, the lack of bluetooth is unacceptable also. overall its a great phone. ive had mine for a few months now and its still a pretty good phone for how i treat them, i drop them and everything, so its a nice phone, i'd reccomend it to anyone who doesnt have enough money for a cooler nextel

Summary: For being a new nextel customer...this was a nice inexpensive phone for me and my girlfriend. we enjoy the walkie talkie feature very much. phone reception is unpredictable. i have service wherever i go. although i have had one problem with billing. nextel reps fixed the problem promptly and without any hassle. i used to have the sidekick 2 before getting this phone and the battery on that clunky thing is better than this one. no need for a hi-cap battery just keep a charger nearby

Great phone

Summary: A nice, lightweight phone with all the features you really need in a cell phone. I just wish Nextel would do something about the extremely short battery life in their phones. It is really bad. I will get a hi-cap battery asap. If you like ringtones count on spending some money on downloading some because only 4 cames with this one other than the standard Nextel ringers.
Works great with the Nextel (Plantronics) MX-153 headset with the PTT switch on it.
Wallpapers tend to look bad depending on how you hold the phone so I quit using them. When you charge this phone the screen stays on so it can be bothersome at night unless you like a nightlight from your cell phone.
The speaker on this phone is very loud and has good volume adjustment.
Overall, after having my i90c for a couple of years, I like the i265.
