The good: The Motorola i365 has a rock-solid design and easy-to-use controls. It also offers Bluetooth, voice dialing, and plenty of push-to-talk options.
The bad: The Motorola i365 may be too big for some people. Also, its display is rather small.
The bottom line: If you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use handset that's built like a tank, the Motorola i365 fits the bill.

Tough and Rock Solid for critical Communications

Summary: As an Engineer I have used everything from cheap phones to smart phones and I allways come back to my tough as a tank I365 I have dropped mine in water over 6 in. Dropped in Salt water in San Diego while launching my boat. Dropped from a 40ft high bucket truck during and electrical inspection onto an asphalt roadway, left in a tool trailer during the day in the Arizona Desert where it was so hot the outer cover actually melted but it still powered on to make a call. It seems alot of people including myself who have been tired of wasting so much time a week on these smart phones they dont realize it. I was spending 25 to 30 hours a week just texting, data, emails etc etc. Now Im back to the basics and this phone will allways be with me. I recommend you order a 6in "fixed anttena" for the I365is and put it on your I365 I am able to reach cell sites over 30 miles away here in the desert. No Camera but it does have NFL Live and Sprint Nascar. Which is nice for me. Direct Connect, Data, and Voice are rock solid with this phone. I notice that the fire dept was using them here so I bought mine in 2007 and have not had one problem.

Pros: Rugged, large buttons (as large as many cordless phones), loud and clear audio. Excellent signal in fringe area especially when equipped with the optional 6" antenna (i365IS antenna). This is the phone to get when you would rather use a phone to actually
Cons: Multi-pin charger connection, no desk-top drop-in charger option even though phone has contacts for drop-in charger. Menu isn't the easiest to figure out although it's definitely not the worst I've seen.

The i365 is the best IDEN phone ever !

Pros: Well built ! Very nice easy to view screen in any light condition. Superb sound quality. Speaker in front of phone where it should be. Not in the back like most other Nextels. Full rubber exterior. Best key pad of any industrial phone I've ever used.
Cons: Absolutely NONE !

I am the Telecommunications Specialist for a large facility. I have had every mil spec phone that Nextel has ever had to offer. They were a joke compared to this unit. This is the real deal !
I purchased 30 units on 9/11. I have issued out 22 of them to the toughest customers that I have. Guy's that work in the boiler plant. Guy's that work in the gennerator rooms. Concrete workers. Machine room workers. And 2 guy's that work in the steam pits. They all love this phone !
The reason that they love this phone is this.
They can hear it, they can see it, it does'nt get any moisture or humidity in it. And it can be caried on their hip in the heaviest of rains.
