If all you want is to call someone this is for you
by fireman7000 on September 27, 2009
Pros: I had the 580 for a year it got run over by a truck, I had to go with a less exp. 570 I bought used from a local market. This phone has been a good phone, it also got runover by a 40000 lb. fire truck and still works.
Cons: small screen, no camera, can use owb pics from text message to use as wallpapers.
Summary: good phone for the buck.

Simple direct to the point kinda phone
by jimmykicker1000 on September 21, 2009
Pros: Rugged design, Ease of use
Cons: My main gripe is about the display. Too small. However, it's nice and clear and easy to get around the interface. A camera would be nice!

Summary: Add a camera to a little phone like this, and you would have an all around winner. I like a durable phone like this that will take a lick and keep on going, and I have to say that the Motorolas made for Nextel excel in that capacity. If you are into gadgets, you won't care for this phone. It's a basic hardworking phone and that is what it is built for...plain and simple. Griping about that is like griping about why a Komatsu dump truck doesn't have a power sunroof, cruise control and power windows like the Cadillac does. It's comparing apples to oranges. Take the iPhone to the construction site and see how it survives the challenge.

The term "SUCK" is insufficient
by Yakone on March 16, 2009
Pros: UM wow...it was free, um the Nextel guy managed to keep from laughing as we issued these to our field officers.
Cons: The buttons are difficult to hit, you cannot access the "last number called" with the cover closed. The radio is passable at best. The ring set (with allows you to scroll through last called) can also go off in your pocket...IT SUCKS

Sadly SPRINT found it and decided this crappy piece of electronic bloviate would perfectly fit their customer no-service pledge. Most of us let ours run out of battery power and use our personal cell phones. Oh yeah it does run out of power quickly so that is a good thing too. -
Small screen, sensitive screen.
by gabrich_q on September 5, 2008
Pros: Compact, resistant thanks to the rubber on the edges.
Cons: Exterior screen is extremely sensitive, if you use your index finger to hold the phone while talking you may damage the screen. It's also in grayscale so it makes it look old.

Not a good choice
by Utahskier on August 28, 2008
Pros: Rugged looking, may work well for people who use the walkie-talkie function.
Cons: Perhaps I simply had a bad experience, but I feel that the I570 is one of the worst cell phones on the market.

Summary: This phone is absolutely terrible, I would not recommend that anyone accept it for free, much less pay 80 dollars. It has mediocre signal quality, is not intuitive to use, has no alarm, doesn't have a great battery life, and is bulky. In addition, the phone does not does not keep track of outgoing, incoming and missed calls. It simply stores all types of calls under "recent calls." On top of the other negative aspects, after having the phone for about a week and a half, I discovered that it no longer accepts a charge. I am switching back to my two year old phone that is much easier to operate and still works like a champ!

another great Moto product

Pros: Moto quality and Nextel funcionality
Cons: price for exisiting customers
Summary: Nextel has offered an optional 2nd phone number on all their phones since at least 7 years : when I started with Nextel. Kent do some research.

And stop being so sarcastic re Nextel users and Nextel phones by Moto: we like them just fine and continue to use them for years: they are rugged and being a slave to fashion is for shallow fools -

Summary: It depends on what you're using it for, ultimately. If you text message anywhere from semi-frequently to frequently, don't get this phone. The buttons are OK, but not that good for heavy duty texting. Honestly, you should only get this phone if you primarily make phone calls and want something you can throw around, but even then there are better choices on the nextel network. The external antenna is a real put off, it doesn't even seem to boost reception either. The inside screen is horrendous by today's standards, this phone would have been acceptable two years ago. Also, the fact that it doesn't have bluetooth is mind boggling, even the most basic, free phones on other networks have bluetooth, so this is a shame. The battery life is good, but there are still better choices if you love nextel's push to talk feature.
