Summary: I love this phone its everything I need. this one guy just said that CDMA Was better the GSM thats not true can you take a CDMA phone overseas well you can but you are vary lemited but a GSM phone can you take it overseas well yes and you get better service in other couturys then the US and this phone is amazing I Love it CDMA networks might have a little bit more to offer like TV on you phone Salalite radio and things and things like ASK your self do you real need TV on your phone NO maybe to show it off to your friends but you know what its an extra 15 dollars to get tv with Verizon they call it Vcast it has bad streeming and very slow buffering In my opinion i would Say since my mom has verizon and i have Cingular I get ten times better service ther her. so i think that if your looking for a good plan and phone go to cingular.. I have also had T-mobile and loved them but I hate sprit Verizon Nextel they all charge to much and not enough minutes.

Good at first, now it's going downhill fast!!!

Summary: I HATE THIS PHONE! I've had this phone for almost two years and everything was fine for a while, now the problems are just snowballing out of control (my Mom has this phone too and is having many problems as well).
General phone problems:
It's nearly impossible to see the screen when you're outside (and if you're in sunglasses it's impossible), and the screens scratch and get very dirty very easily. The inbox (for text messages) can only hold 30 messages before it can't accept anymore, it's a hassle to have to go through and delete them all the time.
My Mom's problems:
My Mom has had this phone for about a year, and she's on her second one. Her first one had a battery that wouldn't charge, it'd say it was charging then die after a few minutes so she sent it in and got a new one. Now her second one is also having a lot of problems. The battery on her current phone runs out very quickly, and it charges very slowly. The biggest problem she's had though is that her phone turns itself off. If she puts her phone in her pocket (or in the pocket of her purse) it'll turn itself off without any warning.
My problems:
The small round button on the center of the keypad is coming off (which is making the keypad sticky) and two of the pads on the top of the screen (to prevent it from closing too hard on itself) have come off as well. My phone has changed it's own language to portugese (I didn't even know you could change your text message language prior to having that happen). My phone doesn't always ring when I get phone calls/text messages/voicemails and there are many times it'll ring telling me I have a voicemail but it wont have ever rang for the phone call (basically it decides who I'm allowed to talk to). Yesterday my phone just began lighting up all by itself (and I wasn't getting any calls/messages to cause it). Lately I've also been having major problems with the volume at which I hear people, the people I'll be on the phone with will range in volume from average to very quiet and often times there will also be a small buzzing noise in the background as well.
I dont know what the deal is with this phone, but lately I've been talking about phones with my friends and people in my classes (because I'm looking to get a new phone) and it seems like everyone I've talked to that had this phone has had a long list of problems they had with it as well.
I hope this helps someone else avoid the hassles that I've been dealing with1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Worst product ever
by jemorris44 on October 15, 2007
Pros: It is slim; other than that...none
Cons: Battery life goes quick, front screen dies and then they grill you when you try to get a replacement phone

Summary: Unfortunately I heard the horror stories after I got my sleek Razr phone. It breaks for no reason. The battery goes. The front screen doesn't work. Motorola customer service is horrible. They are all true. This is one of the worst products every sold. I am a huge advocate for good products and services that work. I am a huge champion of DirecTV, JetBlue, iPod and Hondas. I don't need flash, just function and a return on what I spend. This is the single worst thing I have ever spent money on.

This phone has a short in the screen!
by laynie2j on December 21, 2006
Pros: Yeah, it's pink...it's little...and it's cool looking.
Cons: The screen will suddenly go blank, or the phone will turn itself off. At first it happened once a month, then once a week...now my screen won't come on at all.
Summary: I got my first Pink Razr in May and the screen shorted out and broke in early August. Yeah, T-Mobile replaced it...but now they charge $15 for shipping, which ...
Summary: I got my first Pink Razr in May and the screen shorted out and broke in early August. Yeah, T-Mobile replaced it...but now they charge $15 for shipping, which shows up on your next phone bill. Now the one they sent me (which I suspect is refurbished) is having the same problem (it is now December) and I have put the problem off. But now the screen won't come on at all, so I'll have to pay another $15 for shipping. What happens after my year warranty is up? I can't renew my contract and get a good price on a phone until 2 years after I've had this phone. I HATE MOTOROLA. My last motorola phone was replaced 5 times before I gave up and against my better judgement, got this pink razr. And for the record, I don't abuse my phone, drop it, etc. It stays in my purse.

Summary: The main appeal of this phone is the look, and yes it has that. The only real feature it's got going for it is a great camera.. the digital camera only has 5 seconds or so of memory, and no mp3 player. But
ohter than that the speakerphone is great, and it's just a stylish phone. Plus I get the best reception i've ever had with this phone.
And why is everyone hear against tmobile, I've been a customer for 6 years, back when it was vstream... they've done nothing but been great, I've got some bad phones, but what company doesn't have that? Verizon Cingular and Sprint are the ones that suck, my parents have had all three within a year, they had crappy service they're customer service were all pricks and did nothing when you called them??? In my opinion Tmobile kicks the competitions ass... no doubt about it.. I live in Colorado, tons of mountains I get service all over up there many places where no one else does... specifically with this phone. So if you're looking for style and dont' really care about an mp3 player this is definately the pick you want1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Awesome in most every way. Cool, functional, and PINK

Summary: Alright, I got this phone recently and I love, love, love it! It's pink and oh so thin, it fits in every pair of "tight girl pants" pocket's that I have. The buttons are very large, they may not stick out far but I've had no problem using them. I haven't text on it, so it may not be the easiest texting phone, but the buttons are great for it being a PHONE.
I find where the Volume buttons are when the phone is flipped up to be a bit, odd, but it's fine once you get the hang of it.
It took me about a day to get used to it after switching from a Motorola V180. Just some of the buttons (like the circular buttons) aren't exactly the same etcetera, but other than the first confusions I haven't had a problem.
The phone shell itself seems durable and I don't have a scratch on it, even though I've dropped it once (from about 3 or 4 feet)
Enjoy!1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

I've had this phone for 2 years and I really love it.
by soloma4 on October 26, 2008
Pros: I love the fact that it's so thin. It slips into your back pocket with ease and almost no bulk. The color is so fun and the phone is fun to use. I like the volume control on the side.
Cons: Sometimes the speaker phone is a bit shaky but not a big deal.
