  Sleek, Inexpensive, Attractive looking phone

  Pros: Thin, Light-weight, Attractive looking, Inexpensive, Good Battery, Memory card slot (Under battery) Headset to play MP3's , Nice sound quality for the price,

  Cons: Takes about 25-30 seconds to recievie signal and indicate you have service once you turn it on. No camera, No Bluetooth, memory card slot behind battery

  Summary: I am the tech kinda guy that likes to have the new stuff.. Unfortunately my other phone borke and I really can't afford an extravgant phone right now. The attractive looks caught my attention. On the back it is black with a nice speaker near the bottom. On the fromt it is black and whte with an eye catching lime green. The screen isn't the best but it's quite decent fo the price and the nature of the phone. The call quality is really nice and is able to hold a solid signal. The phone is nicely thin and light. The unit also has MP3 player capbilities, which I find works really well.. (box includes headphones) The MP3 player slot is located behind the battery but for me it's not a big deal (doesn't come with memory) Once you load songs on a memory card you can use them as ringtones too. The phone holds an OS like the RAZR with a few slight differences. Overall I am enjoying the phone A lot and seems to be working solid for what I need it for right now.

  Good Call Quality, MP3 Player, Micro SD and Web Browser

  Pros: Call quality is great. It is loud and clear. Ringer is also nice and loud if you need it to be.
  
  Call quality is great. MP3 player, Micro SD and web browser. MP3 files can be used as ringtones. Good battery life.

  Cons: No camera or bluetooth capabilities. Would have liked better screen colors. Micro SD slot is under battery, but that can be remedied by using a data cable.

  Summary: This is a phone made using recycled water bottles with features that a lot of basic phones don't offer. For the price of this one you would not expect an MP3 player or Micro SD slot and maybe not a web browser. I am a female so I like that the phone is small and cute. If you are male, this might be a little small for your fingers.
  
  I was actually looking in this price range for a used phone when I saw this one. I was using a Samsung Katalyst (3 times the cost) and it had a terrible echo and dropped a lot of calls so I wanted to try a different phone without spending a lot of money.
  
  If you don't need a phone to act like a computer, act like a camera, you don't use bluetooth and don't want to spend a lot of $, this is the phone for you.

  Good looking, simple eco-phone.. Awesome call quality!

  Pros: Low Priced, good weight and feel, colorful and good looking, simple to use, Awesome sound quality for phone calls.

  Cons: No Mac USB transfer capability for MP3 (ringtones, songs), older graphics for menus, no email.

  Summary: I bought this phone because my last phone died before my 2 yr contract was up. I didn't want to spend $200 or more for a replacement phone or get into another big contract, so I bought this phone with no contract for $65. It doesn't have any bells & whistles (no camera, no bluetooth, etc), but ZNET was right is that the call quality is excellent and that's really the best part about this phone. There are plenty of other low cost phone out there, but none of them (at t-mobile) can match this price and sound quality of the Moto Renew. If you only need a phone to make calls, get this phone.

  Tiny, poor quality screen. Cramped, hard to use keypad.

  Pros: The fact that it's made of recycled bottles is pretty cool, sound quality is fair.

  Cons: The screen is tiny and poor quality, the keypad is equally tiny and cramped, the buttons uncomfortable to push. It doesn't have a substantial feel to it, it feels flimsy and easily broken.

  Summary: I tried this phone out for a week and couldn't wait to return it back to the retailer. Texting on it is a nightmare, the tiny, cramped little keypad makes your thumb feel like it's about to fall off after just a few texts. It lacks a camera, so you obviously can't send picture messages, and can't receive them either. It has very few features, and seems like five gigantic steps backwards when compared to the technology of Motorola's other phones. The idea of using recycled materials to create new phones is a great idea, and I fully support that, but I see this phone as a pretty failed attempt. I do not recommend it at all.

  Summary: This is messed up. Why do I have to have a stupid phone like this. It does NOTHING. I would rather have no phone at all than this one. I recommend that you never buy this phone. The only thing that you can do is call and text. The buttons and the screen are so tiny, and it takes you a long time to dial or text with the dumb@$$ buttons. Also, there is NO camera, so I won't be able to take pictures of anything! Another thing is that you can't go on the internet on it. I wish I have a smartphone. >:P

  Summary: i had this phone since december of '09. i really wanted to have a phone like most people in my school. i wanted to have a phone with a touch screen or a keyboard. I also wanted one with a camera built in and internt access with it. instead, i got a piece of crap phone with almost nothing i wanted.   An ok phone for calls only

  Pros: inexpensive, no dropped calls, call quality is ok

  Cons: - keypad freezes often for like 4-5 secs, cant play or use it
  - after owning it for 5 months still havent figured out how to type text messages, cant get rid of dictionary suggestions or may be it isnt working, in any case cant be really bothered

  All in all, not bad for an low end phone.

  Pros: - Has a basic featured mp3 player
  - The phone can vibrate (T-mobie website doesn't say that it has.)
  - Comes with Stereo Headphones (2.5")

  Cons: - No Camera or Bluetooth
  - Screen resolution is low and backlight is cheap
  - Has problem syncing with your computer
  - The phone didn't come in a brown recycled box, instead it comes in a blister packaging glued with non-recycled paper

  Summary: My motorola v3i is getting flaky and dying so I needed another phone. Brought this phone for $20 and has a free $25 prepaid card. I didn't expect much out of this phone and thought I was going to use this phone as an emergency if my other phone dies, but I think I will keep this one instead. The phone comes with alot of packaging (lots of paper) in a blister pack with non-recycled paper glued to it. It didn't come in a brown box as the reviewer described.
  
  I am surprised that this w233 can play mp3's which are vbr as well as cbr encoded, my motorola v3i can only play cbr mp3's. The phone comes with a stereo 2.5 headphone which is nice because you can listen to music and make phone calls. The menu is kind of tricky because if you want to play .mp3's in your microsd card, you must switch the memory device to the memory card. You can go to motorola's website to download the 'charging' drivers for your phone (mini usb cable not included.) Or you can simply copy your mp3 files into the music folder and picture files in the pictures folder in your microsd card. Although it was not mentioned in t-mobile's website, the phone can vibrate.
  
  It does not come with a camera or bluetooth, and the screen resolution is low and backlight is cheap. I have problems syncing the phone to the computer and it can only sync when the phone is not locked, and is on the home screen. The phone comes with 2 games, sudoku and tetris.
  
  I don't make much phone calls anyways and this phone seems to fit the bill. It is not glamorous but it does the job.

  Unreliable.

  Pros: Absolutely nothing.

  Cons: I bought the phone in July, for light use. By February, the charger had died. By April 1, the screen died. I can make & receive calls if I blind-dial, but that's all. A phone that lasts less than 9 months is NOT eco-friendly

  Summary: I purchased my Motorola Renew in late July. By February, the charger had died. By April 1, the screen mysteriously died (solid black with orange "cracks"). I can still make and receive calls, providing I can blind-dial, but that's all.
  
  I use my phone very rarely (50-150 minutes a month, fewer than 10 txt messages), and treat it very gently. The blatant defectiveness of this product is in sharp contradiction to its eco-advertising: a product can not be "green" if it's a piece of junk that requires replacing in less than 9 months.

  Good MP3 Player and Phone

  Pros: Bought it for my husband who loves his music, but doesn't know his way around anything too technical like a PC. He can work a cellphone, and play his music now.

  Cons: I'm a writer and the instructions were poor. Most users miss the fact one has to download the driver for the usb cable not just to recharge via a PC but to recognize the phone in Windows Media Player.

  Summary: Horrible experience with the product at first. Had to order a soundcard, order new usb cable, format the soundcard, download the driver for the cable, and finally ended up calling TMobile tech support to find that when ripping CD's to put songs on phone make sure to rip CD's in MP3 format. Once a cd is ripped into media player in a certain format it cannot be changed. Windows Media Player does not automatically sync everything from one format to another. I had to rerip 6 cds. Driver was finally recognized by Window XP and downloading music is now a breeze. Took 3 weeks to get all this accomplished. Like I said in the cons section, better instructions woulld help so people wouldn't be screaming about this product. I ran into plenty looking to get it working right. I say tell owners up front they have to have proper usb cables, what soundcard they should get, how to format the soundcard, and finally if using Windows Media Player 11 make sure to rip music into the library in MP3 format if planning to download it to the W233. Forget the instructions for naming the phone as mobile W233 and all that. Once windows has the downloaded driver and you connect the phone via usb, the PC immediately picks it up as a Motorola device and syncs music to it effortlessly. Not the case the first time around following the instructions with the phone. Hey Motorola, you need new writers!
