Barely Worth The $20 I Paid
by sunwatcher on October 20, 2009
Pros: Small and lightweight...a nice change. Very Inexpensive. Not a bad looking phone.
Cons: Apparently it sacrifices a lot for the weight. Flush buttons are hard to accurately push. The plastic screen scratches easily. Would only purchase this again as an emergency phone.
Summary: Cons certainly outweigh the pros on this phone, so it was no wonder that this one made CNet's list of loathsome phones. As a basic phone, this does the ...
Summary: Cons certainly outweigh the pros on this phone, so it was no wonder that this one made CNet's list of loathsome phones. As a basic phone, this does the job but don't expect anything more.
The buttons are the worst feature of this phone. They are very hard to accurately press...just the worst design I have seen. I had thought the protective film on the screen was for product shipping, so I promptly removed it. Bad mistake. Scratches appeared immediately after carrying it around in my pocket. Call quality wasn't as bad as stated in the article. Calls came in clearly and others could hear me well enough.
Within two months of owning this phone, it started asking for a security code after turning it on. The default code wouldn't work, and customer service only offered to replace it. Some web searching turned up that this was a common problem with this phone. The phone was rendered useless, but I was able to transfer the SIM card to a different one and save the leftover minutes.
Do yourself a favor and spend a few more dollars for a better quality phone.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

This phone sucks
by bnmedina on October 19, 2009
Pros: do not out weight the cons. must be able to hear to be worth the money - it's a communicating device afterall
Cons: This is my 3rd nokia and by far the worst. WAY-WAY less volume then other phones I've had. Speaker, headset and phone to ear all are hard to hear. must be in a quiet room. Is thin, but maybe that is what inhibits volume with bad DESIGN.
Summary: Can't hear, even with volume all the way up. That is my main issue. Do Not recommend, Had problem with ring as well. couldn't not get out of ...
Summary: Can't hear, even with volume all the way up. That is my main issue. Do Not recommend, Had problem with ring as well. couldn't not get out of vibrate. Sent in for repair, nokia sent me a new phone. I was hoping it would also fix the volume problem, but didn't. Just a very poor design. maybe buy the next model up after reading reviews.

Very bad, cheeply made phone.

Summary: As stated in the "Cons" section, this phone is a very poor one. I had two of the exact model & within one week the battery cover of one of them had broke, simply from trying to put it back on after it had fallen off for no reason. The buttons are very small and feel as if they are going to fall off when you try to press them. The volume never rises to a decent level. It is such a flimsy, lightweight phone, it feels as if there's nothing inside. This is a very poorly constructed phone. If it had been made with better materials, it could have been a great phone, but since it was made with the cheapest plastic they could find, it is a piece of junk.

You get what you pay for.
by roxannelsm on January 31, 2011
Pros: Inexpensive.
Cons: voicemail not easily accessible. Goes straight to vm without ringing. Alarm clock rings whenever it feels like (set to 5:15 am - rang at 12:15, 2:15 and 4:15). Can't save phone numbers to SIM card easily.
Summary: For a minimally functional phone that is strictly for the purpose of making calls or returning calls - not taking calls- it is almost adequate.

Pros: User friendly interface.
Cons: Cheap plastic looks, controls and the keypad buttons are poorly designed.
Summary: This is a barebones phone made just for calling. I won?t recommend buying this phone simply because there are better handsets around

2-band phone = extremely poor coverage
by PeterH_cnet on November 12, 2010
Pros: deceivingly nice, ultra cheap phone, is sold for "free" with the purchase of $10 T-mobile credit during promotional times.
Cons: If you are in an area with only 850/1900 bands coverage, you will be OK. I am in Chicago and collar counties and the coverage is horrendous. No coverage in many of the convention areas, dropped calls, no coverage in open spaces, complete DEAD zones.
Summary: Skip getting one even if you get paid for having it. I will not want it even as an emergency phone. Good luck if you are in areas that T-Mobile ...
