A solid, cheap phone - let's be realistic
by mister_g60 on April 26, 2010
Pros: Good battery life
Good build quality
Good feature set
Good call quality
Great Nokia T9 textingCons: Slow OS (main major beef)
Crappy camera (doesn't apply much to me)
Crappy placement of crappy camera
Inability to assign "messaging" as a shortcut - what??
Lower than idea resolution on main LCD (oh well)
No MP3 capability (and no 3.5mm jack)Summary: Bottom-line: I paid $20 for this phone (turns out it was $5-10 too much, but oh well), and for what I paid it's perfectly adequate. I oscillate between high-end ...
Summary: Bottom-line: I paid $20 for this phone (turns out it was $5-10 too much, but oh well), and for what I paid it's perfectly adequate. I oscillate between high-end phones and super cheap ones, and I always come back to super cheap because I never use half the features on the high-end ones I expect to. I put my SIM card in, had all my contacts and it was ready to go. (Speaking of SIM cards, CDMA - still around? Really?) I don't regret buying this phone. If I get tired of it I can hock it on CL and buy something else. If I destroy it (I'm really fastidious, so that's not likely), then I can replace it and not break the bank. Utility is key in a mobile phone for me ... today, anyway.

Great Phone for a even better price...through At&t
by mxb8924 on March 1, 2010
Pros: 10 bucks through At&t, probably the best battery life of any phone I ever owned, decent pictures, metal plated keys, perfect size buttons for texting. Easy to use. very light (guess its a pro).
Cons: Same material almost everything is made out of these days. if you own a newer ds, a wii, a ps3, ect it is that flimsy shiny plastic material. It shows finger prints, but really this isn't a con, wipe it off and move on.
Summary: Reviewer before me was complaining about so ridiculous stuff. It may be the fact that it is from t mobile, so if thats the case know that my review is ...
Summary: Reviewer before me was complaining about so ridiculous stuff. It may be the fact that it is from t mobile, so if thats the case know that my review is through At&t. Ive taken about 14 pictures and memory in not full. its 32 mb how would 2 pictures fill that. "keypad is too flat. can't tell what key you're pressing sometimes." how these two things interfere with each other is beyond me. I haven't dropped the phone. So sry i cant say its drop proof, but its sturdy. The keypad has dividers between the buttons to make it very easy to find the button your looking for. He was complaining that it wasn't as good as his old, phone that was probably more expensive and had a bunch of useless features. This phone does what it advertises and does it extremely well. I highly recommend this phone for anyone looking for a low priced phone.

Overall good phone for the money.
by dsyhrdng on October 14, 2010
Pros: Very easy to use, good features, pretty durable.
Cons: Not enough memory @ all. I had 5 pichures, 3 partcial songs as ringtones(cuz thats all it would let me save) & maybe at the MOST 10 text & it's telling me I need to free up memory!

Great phone for the money.
by harpitec on October 4, 2010
Pros: Nice looking, lightweight, good call quality, good camera, bluetooth, good keyboard, big clock on external display, great battery life
Cons: Poor speakerphone quality, email tedious to access, in-call speaker volume adjustment is awkward

Summary: I bought a refurbed model on eBay, which only cost me $19.99. For that price and no additional contract commitment, and in consideration of the many positives and few negatives, this phone suits my needs well. You can spend a lot more and get a bigger screen and probably better sound, but if you need a well-featured inexpensive phone, this one is hard to beat. Opened, the phone is tall, putting the ear piece at my ear, and the microphone close to my mouth. If you've used AT&T phones before, the menu interface is familiar and getting acquainted with the controls is pretty simple.

How low can they go?
How low can they go?by darthvagrant on August 20, 2010
Pros: A good bare-bones phone, with viirtually no memory capabilities. Now available from AT&T new for $9.99 or $7.99 reman. Can be bought for those prices as a "GO prepaid phone" withouot buying any time. The can be used momth-to-month W/O contract.
Cons: No memory capabilities. Speaker phone somewhat weak and can only be engaged AFTER call is initiated.
Summary: For $7.99 or $9.99 new, just like finding one! Sucker deal? Can be initiated as a contract phone for "free", then be subject to a $150.00 early ...
Summary: For $7.99 or $9.99 new, just like finding one! Sucker deal? Can be initiated as a contract phone for "free", then be subject to a $150.00 early termination fee. For that. you can buy 15 phones (same phone, on 'prepaid' plan). Can be purchased on the prepaid plan without any minutes on the $.25 per minute plan=no obligation, $9.99 new phone. Then can be put on a month-to-month plan with NO CONTRACT! Sweet deal.

$20? How can you complain?
by mp101 on July 25, 2010
Pros: Good looking, sharp, simple to use.

Summary: Purchased for $20 through T-Mobile kiosk. Owned: 1 month. Thought I'd try it. Was cheaper than buying a new battery for my old Samsung. As with any phone, the first priority should be audio quality. At first, I was disappointed. Voices sounded way too soft. After fidgeting around with it, I found the volume control and sweet spot for listening. Acceptable audio quality but not great. Keypad / letters/numbers are easy to read and easy to use. A little top-heavy like the C-net review states. Graphics are fine and navigating is easy. Owner's manual questionable. Some features aren't explained well at all. For a little knock-around phone, it's not too bad. Now all I have to do is find a case so it doesn't slip out of my hands.
