Don't buy this phone-flimsy, awful audio & navigation
by kbrewer3351 on September 19, 2010
Pros: I like the way it looks - red and sleek. That's it.
Cons: Difficult menu navigation, flimsy, 1-2 day standby battery life, menu defaults to internet so every month I'm charged for something I didn't do, display is tiny with tinier writing, setting tones is not intuitive.

Summary: The phone is flimsy - dropped it one time on carpeted floor, battery back came off, battery came out. After that, there was no audio - no ringing, no loudspeaker, no alarms, nada. Also, the menu defaults to navigating the internet and every month I have to deal with AT&T to delete the internet charges. It's difficult to navigate thru the menu. Just setting a tone for an incoming call alert or voice mail alert is challenging and I'm reasonably intelligent. The battery life is abysmal. Loudspeaker isn't. I could go on, but just save yourself--don't buy the phone. Nokia's has really disapointed me on this one.

Poor craftman ship
by shryve on September 3, 2010
Pros: sleek design
Cons: The menu systems are too complicated, too easy to push the wrong button. The ringer on this phone is set very low!!.
The back cover is so cheaply made that it will fall off in the first two weeks, I see that stores are already selling replacments -
Not worth using. AT&T shouldn't offer this.
by canders2 on August 27, 2010
Pros: Free, 3G, red color
Cons: Short battery life: 2 days standly max. Diffidcult menu to navigate. Small screen. Volume control on side to easy to accidently change. Menus cumbersome.
Summary: Don't bother - even for free.

not worth FREE
by anony2010 on August 4, 2010
Pros: nice shape when flipped open. nice color and size of screens. camera seems to work well.
Cons: drops calls. outside speaker is flaky or just plain doesn't work. no numbers within menus = having to scroll down to every selection within menus. don't care for the call quality. the structure of the software is very cumbersome.

Summary: i "purchased" 3 of these phones when renewing my at&t contract (they were all free) and have had varying problems from day 1. Ive chosen the free phones through at&t/cingular for the last 8 years and never had problems with any of them until now. the fact that we are experiencing serious problems on 3 phones makes me think this is simply a piece of junk. one has failed us in a family emergency, another has a speaker that doesn't work unless you tap the phone on its side (then stops again if you stop tapping) which equates to the ringer and speaker phone not working, and the third has the same speaker problem although it does work on its own sometimes. this just isn't acceptable nokia
i also wanted to add that as others have stated, the battery life is very poor. i dont use the phone much at all and it still needs to be charged every other day.

Terrible battery life. Too complicated.
by bth1968 on July 7, 2010
Pros: It's nice looking. You can make calls on it.
Cons: Expect to charge it EVERY day. Can't hear it ring or feel it vibrate if it's in your pocket or a case. OS is way too complicated... a mouse might help.
Summary: You have to navigate through one menu after another before you get to your actual point of execution. You have to charge it "at least" once every day. You can ...
Summary: You have to navigate through one menu after another before you get to your actual point of execution. You have to charge it "at least" once every day. You can barely hear the Nokia ring sitting on a table with the speaker side down. I almost have to use a pencil to insure I hit the right keys. I've had 5 Nokia phones, and I'd take any of those other 4 over this one.

It's just a phone.
by PriscillaFlores on July 4, 2010
Pros: It can call and text.
Cons: It's just a simple phone.
Summary: This phone gets as simple as it gets. But it's ok.

Terrible phone, was an "upgrade" provided by AT&T
by Richard-B-Johnson on June 28, 2010
Pros: Nothing good
Cons: Battery life four hours when it cannot contact a cell tower. Near a cell tower, it lasts about 24 hours on standby and dies immediately when answering a call. The vibrator and the ring-tones are too weak to be useful except in a library environment.
Summary: This is an awful phone with keys that have to be precisely touched with carefully pruned fingernails! The battery life is only 24 hours on standby. If you are not ...
Summary: This is an awful phone with keys that have to be precisely touched with carefully pruned fingernails! The battery life is only 24 hours on standby. If you are not within range of a cell-tower, it wears out the battery trying to contact one! The ring tones are too weak. The vibrator is too weak. Once you remove the back to insert a battery, it does not go back in place properly, so the phone falls apart in your hand.

Decentt phone for basic use
by YachtBroker on June 14, 2010
Pros: Nice design, doesn't slip out of your hand, good call quality
Cons: Biggest compaint is the button on the front lid, I carry the phone in my pocket and slight pressure on the button causes it to play music, in this case a ring tone. No solution offered by ATT or Nokia. Battery really sucks
Summary: Inability to disable the music play button on the front of the phone lid. Only soltion offered is to put the phone on silent but the vibrate only function is ...
Summary: Inability to disable the music play button on the front of the phone lid. Only soltion offered is to put the phone on silent but the vibrate only function is so weak that it's hard to sense even if it was in the front of your underwear!. Heat generated by the phone is excessive compared to many others that I have had and how does Nokia get away with advertising a long battery life. Even w/o Bluetooth on it barely kasts 36 hours

Worst phone by Nokia
by raaasapu on May 8, 2010
Pros: sleek design and smooth keypad.
Cons: Freezes mid-call, restarts continuously and menu programs don't work as the phone freezes most of the time.
Summary: Initially I though I got a defective piece, but a little online search revealed numerous similar complaints. With just 5 hours of usage and 3 to 4 calls i found ...
Summary: Initially I though I got a defective piece, but a little online search revealed numerous similar complaints. With just 5 hours of usage and 3 to 4 calls i found the phone is one of the useless and worst phone ever produced by nokia. I could not complete a single call as the phone got restarted on its own while i was in the call. Wirefly and ATT rips off customers by selling such defective phones.

within 4 months the flimsy back cover started cracking.
by ba6004 on April 21, 2010
Pros: good looking and thin
Cons: Battery cover does not fit well , the two sharp corners on the top of the back cover lift up don't fit tight with the phone. After only 4 months the battery cover has cracked on both sides towards the middle of the cover where the stress points are.
Summary: Physical damage is not covered per NOKIA and they will not replace the phone or battery cover. I find it unacceptable that NOKIA will not stand behind their product. (Basically ...
Summary: Physical damage is not covered per NOKIA and they will not replace the phone or battery cover. I find it unacceptable that NOKIA will not stand behind their product. (Basically their one year manufacturing warranty does not cover design flaws!!!) If you buy this phone make sure you purchase the additional warranty so you can replace it for no cost because you will need to, this phone is not build to last more than a few months, the beautiful red coating started peeling off after about 90 days (standard daily use). I also find the phone menu is not very user friendly when it com's to quickly looking up text and call details.
