The good: The Samsung Factor has an appealing design, a tactile dial pad, and good call quality.
The bad: The Samsung's Factor's low screen resolutions and camera quality are disappointing. The handset is rather slippery.
The bottom line: The Samsung Factor is an ideal budget phone for basic calling and texting communications.

battery cover

Pros: light, big keys
Cons: feels cheap, opening battery cover is a trial, instructions on opening battery cover misleading

Summary: i had this phone for about two hours...an hour of that was spent trying to get the cover off. the instructions says to pop it like a soda can.... okay... except there's no leverage. and the diagram that corresponds to the instructions is flat out misleading. it doesn't open by sliding.
i opened it along the side of the phone (where you plug the phone for charging) using my fingernails.
actually my mom opened it. i was ready to slam it against the wall.

Summary: For a $29.99 and pay as you go who could complain with that? I use this phone as an emergency phone in a California canyon horse trail riding community where no other carriers work. Wow, come on now! Look at the features of this phone. Five or six years ago if mobile phones did what this phone does we would have been thrilled jumping up and down and probably paid $400 + for it with a monthly contract! This phone is of course not used as my main cell phone, I use another phone from the same maker for my everyday phone and do not and can not compare the two, it is apples to oranges. I must say Bravo on both! Nice job! Everyone, if you can not figure out how to put your fingernail in a slot to open a battery cover DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! You wouldn't appreciate a good product if it bit you in the face!
Great features great call quality easy to use! The BEST Value, PERIOD!
