Samsung SGH-T369 - black (T-Mobile) price range: $81.95

The good: The Samsung SGH-T369 is an efficient little number with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that's roomy even while compact. There's also a 1.3-megapixel camera with a camcorder, a music player, and 16GB expandable memory.
The bad: The keys on the T369's alphanumeric dialpad are overly narrow, and there's no dedicated headset jack to complement the music player. The miscoSD card is inconveniently located behind the back cover.
The bottom line: There are more goodies than you'd expect for a basic feature phone like the Samsung T369, though none of them is particularly advanced and the handset has some design flaws.

too difficult to use for even simple functions

Pros: good keyboard, big screen
Cons: truly awful software that could have been made in the 90s

Unacceptable software, had to return the phone to get something that can actually send texts without making me go through a millions steps first.

Great sub-$100 phone!
by Diskothek on January 6, 2011
Pros: The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is easy to use and I like it much better than my girlfriends similar Samsung phone she has for Verizon. Voice quality is excellent, better than my old AT&T Logitech phone.
Cons: I love the slide phone style, but will miss the protection of keys a flip-phone provides.
Summary: I got this phone after switching from AT&T to T-Mobile for a cheaper plan and do not regret it one bit! If you don't feel like spending ...

Great Value For The Price

Summary: I bought this phone knowing it was more of an entry level pre-paid T-Mobile phone. The keyboard works fantastic, but does take some time getting acclimated to. Once that's done, it's a pretty good phone! Good call quality, battery life, and reception as well.
Only draw back is that sometimes the microphone can get blocked when you hold the phone a certain way. Not a deal breaker for me though. Would definitely recommend this phone for anyone seeking an inexpensive Pre-Paid phone with a full QWERTY Keyboard. -
Nice toy, but not very reliable.
by bigdog7770 on November 1, 2010
Pros: If you are whithing 100 feet of a cell tower, you get a strong signal, if not you are out of luck.
Cons: Can't get more than 2-3 bars on the phone , and ususally, the norm is zero-1 bars. loses signal fast and drops calls, even in a strong T-Mobile signal area.
Summary: Dont evn think of getting this phone even for free!!!

If you like to butt dial, this is the phone for you.

Pros: The organization of the menus was good.
It does have a decent sized qwerty keyboardCons: The phone is easy to butt dial.

Summary: I once heard that cell phones were designed to meet the needs of Japanese High School girls. After using the SGH-t369, I tend to believe that story. I chose the SGH-t369 because it had a qwerty keyboard, which I thought would make texting easier, and it was available for the pre-paid account I use.
After having the phone for a week I experienced my first butt dialing experience. I learned about locking the phone (depressing the 7 key), but that did not prevent further unintentional dialing. Apparently the phone designers place the unlock and OK key adjacent to each other and forgot to recess those keys. So, if you are a guy, you keep the phone in your front pants pocket, and you bump your thigh into a solid object, you stand a good chance of depression the two keys in the proper order. Once the phone is unlocked, a butt dial is easily possible.
Then there is the QWERTY keyboard. I'm a guy, my fingers are not dainty, and I do not have nails. Pushing the correct key on the SGH-t369 keyboard is, at best, hit and miss. Any text I would write would require multiple use of the backspace key.
I suspect you keep this phone in a purse, and have finely manicured nails you will not have the same issues I had with this phone.
The phone range seemed reasonable, and the menus were easy to navigate. However, I could only stand to use this phone for a year, before I went back in technology to a low end flip phone.0 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.
